Abstract

Participation in the form of joint discussions between the village government and the village community is needed in developing the village. However, currently the village government is holding discussions on village development, only a portion of the community is aware of the discussion, so that only a portion of the community is present. In addition, the results of these discussions did not reach the entire community, so that only part of the community participated in village development. Therefore, a space is needed to accommodate opinions, aspirations or opinions as well as the results of discussions that can be known by the whole community, especially utilizing technological advances. So the solution to overcome this problem is to create a room in the form of a discussion group using a website-based Focus Group Discussion (FGD). It is hoped that this FGD will increase community participation in developing the village. This design research uses a software development method, namely using a waterfall. So with this research it is hoped that the village government and the community can access the discussion room anytime anywhere so that community participation can be comprehensive for the development of the village.

Abstract

Di dunia Pendidikan saat ini terutama di perguruan tinggi, penggunaan teknologi sangatlah diperlukan untuk memfasilitasi seluruh civitas akademika. Salah satu perguruan tinggi yang akan menggunakan kemajuan teknologi khususnya dalam media pembelajaran adalah Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi (STT) Dr Kh Ez Muttaqien. Saat ini pembelajaran perkuliahan masih bersifat konvensional dimana tenaga pendidik melakukan tatap muka bersama mahasiswa, pemberian materi dan pengumpulan tugas masih menggunakan kertas sehingga ketika tenaga pendidik berhalangan hadir maka perkuliahan ditiadakan dan pemberian tugas dan pengumpulan tugas jadi terhambat. Inilah saatnya kemajuan teknologi diperlukan dengan merancang dan membangun Sistem Informasi Manajemen Perkuliahan (SIMPEL) berbasis website. Metode perancangan perangkat lunak yang akan digunakan yakni Waterfall agar mudah melakukan analisis kebutuhan hingga pengujian. Oleh karena itu diperlukan suatu media pembelajaran baru dengan adanya SIMPEL ini maka kegiatan pembelajaran dapat diakses dimana saja dan kapan saja.

Abstract

Community service is a form of participation by the education sector, particularly higher education institutions, aimed at contributing to solving existing issues in society. The provided solution involves the implementation of academic expertise, ensuring that the activities are carried out in a structured manner. The community service conducted by the Department of Information Technology and Computer aims to assist the Regional Museum (Wisma Karya) of Subang Regency in its transformation by leveraging advancements in information technology. The community service activities took place from March to August 2023. The academic implementation takes the form of developing a website-based information system featuring three main features: an online visit booking feature, visitor recording feature, and feedback (rating) feature. The execution of the community service involves a team of lecturers from the Department of Information Technology and Computer, along with four students.
