Abstract

Peer review as a potential pedagogical practice, has gained popularity in university writing classes for ESL/EFL students. The focus in this study is to find out what students prefer to use face-to-face peer review or anonymous peer review. This study uses a survey research approach as a methodology, the data is carried out by distributing questionnaires to students. The participants are students of SMAN 3 Banjarmasin IPA grade 11. The results of the survey data analysis of student interest in the use of face-to-face and anonymous peer techniques 59.4% or 19 students prefer anonymous to face-to-face peer review while 40.6% or 13 students choose face-to-face peer review as the best technique in providing feedback in class writing. This data was obtained from a questionnaire given to 32 people.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the difficulty level, distinguishing power, and distractor effectiveness of the Final Examination Questions in Grammer Subjects in the third semester of Mataram University Academic Year 2020/2021.It used descriptive quantitative. The subject of the research is the third semester of the An English Education Department of Mataram University, which are 30 students. The data was collected using the questionnaire method. Then, the data analysis was analyzed by Mrs. Excell.The analysis shows that: Difficulty levels, the number of multiple choice questions classified as easy questions amounted to 1 item, medium category 25 items, and difficult category 24 items. Then, for distinguishing power included of poor categories are 30 items multiple choices questions, the satisfactory categories are 10 items, and the good category is 0, none categories are 4 items, then negative categories are 5 items. While, for the effectiveness of distractors, 120 distractors are accepted or functioning. Then, 32 distractors are revised or not functioning. Therefore, according to the explanation that has been explained, it can be concluded that the Final Examination for the Grammer subject at University of Mataram in the 2020/2021 academic year is including the quality of the unfavorable questions.

Abstract

Kemampuan berbahasa Inggris seseorangan dapat dilihat dari seberapa banyak kosakata yang dimiliki oleh seseorang. Hal ini menjadi salah satu kendala bagi setiap orang terutama untuk para siswa terkhusus dalam proses pembelajaran bahasa inggris. Sehingga salah satu upaya kreatif yaitu dengan menggunakan media flash cards. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan media flashcard mempengaruhi pengetahuan kosakata peserta didik pada tingkat SMA. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen. Subjek penelitian adalah 31 siswa kelas XI dan subjek dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu 15 siswa dengan eksperimental group dari kelas "A" dan 16 siswa dengan kontrol group dari kelas "B". Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa siswa menjadi sangat antusias belajar kosa kata. Dengan menggunakan flash cards maka dapat memungkinkan siswa belajar sambil bermain sehingga ini dapat meningkatkan minat mereka dalam belajar kosakata. Disamping itu juga penggunakan flash cards sebagai media pembelajaran dapat menjadikan siswa lebih berani dan percaya diri untuk tampil dihadapan orang lain didepan kelas.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to provide a comprehensive analysis of the item test quality for English final semester exams presented to ninth-grade students during the academic year 2022/2023 at Mts Nurul Yaqin. This study aims to offer feedback and serve as a model for English teachers, educators, test developers, and other individuals involved in the creation of English tests. The analysis will focus on evaluating item difficulty, item discrimination, and the efficacy of distractors. The results of the research show that the final semester exam question quality is very good, since most of the questions in level of difficulty fall within the medium questions. In index of distinguishing power is also good, due to the fact that the highest percentage of questions is in the category of good questions. Then, in terms of the distractor function, based on the results of students' answers, it is categorized as having a distractor that has been functioning properly.

Abstract

Kegiatan soaialisasi “Pengenalan Literasi Finansial Sejak Dini” dilakukan dengan tujuan yaitu memberikan sosialisai kepada para ibu-ibu anggota posyandu pada Dusun Tebao Timur Peresak Narmada Kabupaten Lombok Barat betapa pentingnya literasi finansial untuk anak mereka. Hal ini dikarenakan literasi finansial ini dapat mengajarkan bagaimana cara anak dapat mengenal dan mengelola keuangan secara tepat, baik dan bijaksana sejak dini. Pengabdian ini dihadiri oleh kurang lebih 30 (tiga puluh) orang ibu-ibu. Pengabdian dilakukan Dosen Universitas Bumigora. Dalam sosialisasi ini kami memberikan manfaat dari pengenalan literasi finansial sedini mungkin. Salah satu pengenalan literasi keuangan yang dapat diterapkan oleh para ibu-ibu ini yaitu memberikan pemahaman serta mengajarkan anak untuk gemar menabung sejak usia dini. Melalui kegiatan menabung ini dapat membantu anak-anak untuk belajar mengendalikan keuangannya, belajar tentang kesederhanaan, menghindari perilaku konsumtif dan boros, serta menumbuhkan jiwa sosial pada anak.
