Abstract

The concept of numbers is the basis of mathematics which consists of counting numbers, connecting objects, knowing the number of objects, based on initial observations there are still many children who seem to be less focused on the material that has been delivered by the teacher and some cannot even name the order of numbers from one to ten which are not sequential spoken. The purpose of this research is to increase understanding of the concept of numbers by applying the Make a Match model at RA Al-Karomah, Karangtanjung Village, Cililin District, West Bandung Regency. In this study using classroom action research which consists of stages, implementation stages, observation stages and reflection stages which consist of 2 cycles. The results of this study show an increase in the ability to recognize the concept of numbers in group A children at RA Al-Karomah. Data from the research results regarding the concept of numbers applying Make a Match are presented as follows: in Cycle I after the first meeting was held the result was that the criteria had not developed by 33.33%. Criteria began to develop at the first meeting 58.33%, the second meeting 66.67%. The criteria developed according to the expectations of the first meeting 8.33% and at the second meeting it became 33.33%. Furthermore, there are no well-developed criteria. Cycle II on undeveloped criteria does not exist. Criteria for starting to develop does not exist. The criteria that developed as expected at the first meeting were 75%, then became 41.67%. The criteria developed very well at the first meeting of 25%, the second meeting became 58.33%. So from these results it can be concluded that the understanding of the concept of numbers can be improved by using Make a Match.

Abstract

Character education is necessary not only at school, but also at home and in the social environment. Even today, the participants in character creation are not only for young learners and teenagers, but also adults. This training is important to be held to increase teacher insight regarding the implementation of character education for students. Apart from that, as an alternative to carry out integrated character education, namely combining and optimizing informal educational activities at home learning with formal education. Character education training for home learning teachers is carried out using the lecture and question and answer method. training participants can understand the importance of character education for students at home learning. Furthermore, the trainees will create various methods in the teaching process.

Abstract

Parents' attention is to focus on the behavior that students receive, by providing supervision and meeting basic needs, giving special attention to supporting learning activities, which is expected to improve student learning achievement (Slameto 2021). This research aims to determine: 1) Parental attention, 2) Student learning achievement, and 3) examine the relationship between parental attention and student learning achievement. This research uses a quantitative approach with correlational research methods. The sampling technique was Random Sampling technique with a sample size of 30 respondents. Data collection techniques are the Parental Attention questionnaire and the Learning Achievement questionnaire. Data analysis with the help of the IBM Statistics SPSS 23 application. The results of this study show that 1) Parental attention at Al-Ikhlash Cikawung Middle School is in the medium category, with an average of 3.4873. 2) The learning achievement of students at Al-Ikhlash Cikawung Middle School is in the high category, with an average of 3.5725. 3) The significant value is 0.235 and the correlation coefficient is 0.211, so Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected. With this, parental attention and learning achievement at Al-Ikhlash Cikawung Middle School have a positive and insignificant relationship. This shows that increasing parental attention will be followed by an increase in student learning achievement.
