Abstract

This research aims to determine and analyze the influence of Instagram on interest and purchasing decisions among Medan State Polytechnic students. This research took research subjects from Medan State Polytechnic students, especially Shopee e-commerce users. The type of research used is quantitative research with survey methods. The subjects in this research were 100 respondents using non-probability sampling techniques and purposive sampling techniques. The research method used was structural equation modeling (SEM), which was processed using the SmartPLS program. The results of this research show that: (1) Instagram has a positive and significant effect on purchasing interest on Shopee among Students of Politeknik Negeri Medan; (2) Instagram has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions on Shopee among Students of Politeknik Negeri Medan. (3) Interest buying has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions on Shopee among Students of Politeknik Negeri Medan; (4) Instagram has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions through the moderator variable buying interest on Shopee among Students of Politeknik Negeri Medan. The variable most dominantly influenced by Instagram is the purchase interest variable.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the factors of comfort, tariffs and timeliness of purchasing decisions simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction on trains majoring in Medan Binjai. The data analysis technique used is the method with the help of the SPSS program. This study uses multiple linear regression. The sample of this study amounted to 100 respondents. Primary data collection using a questionnaire. The results showed that convenience, tariffs and timeliness partially had a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions for train tickets majoring in Medan-Binjai. In addition, convenience, tariffs and punctuality simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions for train tickets majoring in Medan-Binjai.

Abstract

One indicator of the financial performance of the Return On Investment and Return On Equity in PT Perkebunan XYZ tend to be experiencing a decline, but this does not automatically indicate the condition of the company are not optimal. The values ​​of the financial ratios only indicate financial performance so that there is a tendency to ignore this aspect of non-financial, such as customer satisfaction, productivity, and cost-effectiveness process used to produce products and services, and empowerment, and employee commitment to delivering products and services for customer satisfaction. Performance measurement that takes into account the financial aspects and non-financial aspects are balanced scorecard still maintaining the traditional financial measures. The purpose of this study which analyzes the performance of PT Perkebunan XYZ comprehensive and can serve as the basis for long-term planning and to recommend steps that need to be done by the management of PT Perkebunan XYZ, so that the measurement results Balanced Socrecard can be implemented in improving company performance by considering four perspectives. The results showed that the first perspective learning and growth perspective shows an increase in the number of employees who attend training and development, increasing the ratio of the load of training and development as well as increased capital organization proven to increase customer satisfaction and employee motivation. In the perspective of both the internal business processes perspective shows PT Perkebunan XYZ able to create quality products. The third perspective which shows the customer perspective customers are satisfied with the quality of services provided by the company. Net profits are seen fluctuations, the average profit per customer and profitability per customer increased, while average operating expenses per customer declined. The fourth perspective of the financial perspective showed increased growth in revenue and net profit margin however decreased ROI.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of English vocabulary mastery on the ability to read and understand English texts of Medan State Polytechnic Banking and Finance Study Program students for the 2012/2013 academic year who received Class Action research and those who did not receive Class Action research. The type of data collected is qualitative data with data collection tools (instruments) used in this research, namely English vocabulary tests and English text reading comprehension tests. Respondents were taken as many as 40 students. This research uses descriptive qualitative analysis techniques. The results of the research showed that there is an influence of mastery of English vocabulary on the ability to understand English texts of Medan State Polytechnic Banking and Finance Study Program students for the 2012-2013 year who received class action research compared to those who did not receive class action research.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology is increasingly growing. Today's society is so spoiled by the many types of communication media, and one of the most interesting people in Indonesia today is Instagram social media. Many positive things can be explored from Instagram, and one of the most used by people in Indonesia is as a medium for doing business online. Many of the offline-based companies are now using Instagram to show the existence of their companies in the world of social media. Likewise with Honda Wing Dealer Kisaran participated in utilizing Instagram as a strategy in Meningkatkan Hubungan dengan Pembeli. Honda Wing Dealer Kisaran itself is a company engaged in the automotive sector. The research was conducted with qualitative research methods, where the technique of collecting data through the stages of observation, in-depth interviews, literature studies and documentation. The results show that the strategy of using Instagram social media in Meningkatkan Hubungan dengan Pembeli is very effective in reaching customers who are active in social media, making it easier for companies to disseminate information about products and company operations. Through Instagram, customers feel more familiar and close to the company so that it has a positive impact on the company in monitoring what information needs are needed by loyal customers.
