Abstract

Islamic education is required to be able to answer the challenges of every era. And the progress of this education started a long time ago when Islamic territory had reached from west to east, namely during the military expansion during the era of caliph Umar Bin Khattab. So the purpose of this study is to describe Islamic Education in the Era of Umar Bin Khattab. The method used is a literature study with descriptive techniques in concluding and analyzing the data so that this research is qualitative. The results of the study show that Islamic Education during the Umar Bin Khattab era included the provision of quality educational resources by sending them to become teachers and scholars in conquered countries. then the construction of educational infrastructure such as kuttab, majlis, and mosques. And finally, there are methods in education such as halaqah, talaqqi, and lectures.

Abstract

Islamic education was built with great struggle from the Dutch and Japanese eras to the time of Indonesian independence. And in the early era of its reign, Japan sought the attention of Muslims by giving its leaders the power and freedom to teach and spread their thoughts, especially matters related to Islamic education which always transformed from time to time until it was able to adjust to its development. One of the important figures in that era was KH Abdul Wahid Hasyim. So the purpose of this study is to describe Islamic Education Renewal: Examining KH's Thoughts. Abdul Wahid Hasyim. This type of research is a literature study with content analysis techniques and then conclusions. The results of the research show that the renewal of Islamic education according to KH. Abdul Wahid Hasyim covers the renewal of the pesantren education system in the institutional, methodological, curriculum, and library fields. As well as reforms in the national education system, including the obligation to study at madrasas, the inclusion of general education at madrasas/Islamic boarding schools, the inclusion of religious education in public schools, and the establishment of many Islamic tertiary institutions in Indonesia.

Abstract

The tarekat is one of the main teachings in the field of Sufism where the two are interrelated and cannot be separated because they have a long journey and history since their inception until now. And the purpose of this study is to describe the history of thought in the field of tasawuf and tarekat in Indonesia. The method used is qualitative with a literature study approach when collecting data, then analyzed and concluded by verification. The results of the study show that the History of Thought in the Field of Sufism and Tarekat in Indonesia consists of four periods. Namely the first period, 1st and 2nd century H. second period, 3rd and 4th century H. third period, 5th century H. and fourth period, 6th century H and so on. The division of this period was strongly influenced by the differences and phenomena of the diversity of Islamic society and became the forerunner to the birth and emergence of tarekat in Islam which played an important role in realizing a moral-spiritual change in Indonesian society.
