Abstract

ABSTRAKDi era Pendidikan 4.0 saat ini, diperlukan inovasi dalam perancangan dan pelaksanaan percobaan fisika yang terintegrasi dengan teknologi agar pembelajaran dapat berjalan dengan lebih efektif dan menarik bagi siswa. Namun masih ditemukan sejumlah sekolah khususnya di Kabupaten Muaro Jambi yang menggunakan merancang dan melaksanakan percobaan secara konvensional serta belum memanfaatkan teknologi, seperti SMKS Asy’ariyyah dan SMPS Islam Asy’ariyyah Muaro Jambi. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah memberikan pendampingan kepada guru-guru di kedua sekolah tersebut dalam menyusun perangkat pembelajaran fisika berbantukan alat peraga terintegrasi aplikasi Tracker dan teknologi sensor. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah workshop yang terdiri dari tiga tahapan, yaitu persiapan Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 16 Agustus 2022 dan hari kedua tanggal 20 Agustus 2022. Setelah melakukan kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan perangkat pembelajaran terintegrasi aplikasi Tracker dan teknologi sensor, guru- guru SMPS Islam Asy’Ariyyah dan SMKS Islam Asy’Ariyyah sudah terlatih dalam membuat perangkat pembelajaran terintegrasi aplikasi Tracker dan teknologi sensor. Kata kunci: alat peraga; perangkat pembelajaran; sensor; tracker. ABSTRACTDuring the covid 19 pandemic and plus the new variant of the omicron virus, learning is still carried out online in order to avoid covid 19, to anticipate that experiments in class can be carried out properly, a learning tool must be designed using props integrated with a tracker application based on sensor technology. During the Covid-19 pandemic, teachers and students are required to implement health protocols in learning, teachers are required to develop learning tools in the classroom. Digital-based science learning has not been widely applied in schools. Teachers still have difficulty developing learning tools assisted by props integrated with sensor technology-based tracker applications. The method used in this activity is demonstration, counseling, discussion, training and practice delivered by the service team to teachers of Asy'Ariyyah Islamic Junior High School and Asy'Ariyyah Vocational School, this activity was carried out on August 16, 2022 and the second day on August 20, 202. Service activities are very much needed for schools, with this service activity teachers are motivated and there is additional insight in teaching integrated learning devices for tracker applications and sensor technology and getting inspiration for teachers to make integrated learning devices for tracker applications and sensor technology. After conducting training activities for making integrated learning devices for tracker applications and sensor technology, Asy'Ariyyah Islamic Junior High School teachers, Asy'Ariyyah Islamic Vocational High School have been trained in making integrated learning devices for tracker applications and sensor technology. The need for creative and innovative learning media in order to create a pleasant learning atmosphere. Keywords: learning device; sensor; tracker; teaching aid.

Abstract

The primary objective of education is to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively engage in their chosen professions and make meaningful contributions to their respective communities. One of the skills needed is critical thinking skills. The mastery of critical thinking skills is deemed essential for preservice physics teachers in the 21st century. This study aims to analyze the critical thinking skills of preservice physics teacher on electricity and magnetism. The research involved 38 preservice physics teacher students at one of the LPTK’s in Indonesia. The research method applied is descriptive quantitative. The research instrument used was a description test, namely the Critical Thinking Skills in Electricity and Magnetism (CTEM). Test yang didiadopsi dari Tiruneh et al. (2017). The results showed that the critical thinking skills of physics teacher candidates were low. Efforts are needed to improve critical thinking skills through methods, models, media, and other interventions in learning.

Abstract

A valid and practical STEM-based introduction to quantum physics module has been successfully developed. The module development uses a modified Rowntree development model consisting of three stages: the planning stage, the development stage, and the evaluation stage. Tessmer's formative evaluation was carried out at the evaluation stage, including self-evaluation, expert review, one-to-one evaluation, and small group evaluation. Data collection techniques used walkthrough data and questionnaire data. The results of the expert review show that the EVR value from the experts is 88.1%. In the one-to-one evaluation stage, the HEOS value from student responses to the use of this module is 88.6% (efficient type). The module was revised into prototype two and re-tested apart from these two stages. In the small group evaluation trial, the HEOS score from student responses using this module is 93.0%. Thus, based on the study results, it is concluded that the developed module (teaching material) is valid and practical.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to develop an android based physics educational game on temperature and heat material using the construct 2 program, where the game was designed to stimulate thinking ability including improving understanding of physics concepts. This educational game was developed using the research and development (R&D) method with the stages of the ADDIE model, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation, but in this study it only reached the design or development stage. In addition, to ensure that the game is designed as expected, the authors conducted feasibility testing and game acceptance by media experts and students. Based on the results of the analysis, the assessment obtained from 5 experts with several aspects of assessment of this educational game is included in the very feasible category with an average score of 3.70 from a maximum score of 4.00 and a minimum score 3.0. From the results obtained, the physics educational game developed has good quality so it is feasible to be implemented.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Interactive Conceptual Instruction Assisted by PhET Simulations on students' scientific consistency. The research method used was quasi experiment with the matching-only pretest-posttest control group design involving 62 students in one of the high schools in Indonesia. The instrument used was an scientific consistency test modified from the Representational Variant of Force Concept Inventory (R-FCI). The data obtained were analyzed by t-test and N-Gain. The results showed that Interactive Conceptual Instruction Assisted by PhET Simulations can improve students' scientific consistency.

Abstract

ABSTRAKDalam konteks Kurikulum Merdeka, ditekankan pentingnya menggabungkan unsur-unsur kearifan lokal dalam proses pembelajaran, yang bertujuan untuk mendukung pencapaian profil pelajar yang sesuai dengan prinsip Pancasila. Oleh karena itu, guru diharapkan untuk mempersiapkan materi pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan Kurikulum Merdeka, yang mengintegrasikan elemen-elemen kearifan lokal. Namun, dalam praktiknya, masih terdapat temuan di lapangan, khususnya di Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur, di mana beberapa sekolah, seperti SMAN 8 Tanjung Jabung Timur, masih menggunakan bahan ajar yang mengacu pada kurikulum sebelumnya dan belum mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal atau aspek etnosains. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah melatih guru-guru di SMAN 8 Tanjung Jabung Timur agar dapat mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran kurikulum merdeka yang mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal atau aspek etnosains. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah pelatihan yang terdiri dari tiga tahapan, yakni persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Kegiatan pelatihan ini diadakan pada tanggal 7 Agustus 2023 di SMAN 8 Tanjung Jabung Timur. Hasil dari pelatihan ini adalah guru-guru SMAN 8 Tanjung Jabung Timur dapat memahami dengan baik konsep dan teknik penyusunan perangkat pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan Kurikulum Merdeka, yang mengintegrasikan elemen-elemen kearifan lokal atau aspek etnosains dalam proses pembelajaran. Kata kunci: alat peraga; perangkat pembelajaran; sensor; tracker. ABSTRACTIn the context of the Independent Curriculum, the importance of combining elements of local wisdom in the learning process is emphasized, which aims to support the achievement of student profiles in accordance with the principles of Pancasila. Therefore, teachers are expected to prepare learning materials that are in accordance with the Independent Curriculum, which integrates elements of local wisdom. However, in practice, there are still findings in the field, especially in East Tanjung Jabung Regency, where several schools, such as SMAN 8 East Tanjung Jabung, still use teaching materials that refer to the previous curriculum and have not integrated local wisdom or ethnoscience aspects. The aim of this community service activity is to train teachers at SMAN 8 Tanjung Jabung Timur to be able to develop independent curriculum learning tools that integrate local wisdom or ethnoscience aspects. The method used in this activity is a workshop, which consists of three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. This training activity was held on August 7, 2023, at SMAN 8 Tanjung Jabung Timur. The result of this training is that the teachers of SMAN 8 Tanjung Jabung Timur can understand well the concepts and techniques for preparing learning tools that are in accordance with the Independent Curriculum, which integrates elements of local wisdom or ethnoscience aspects in the learning process. Keywords: learning device; sensor; tracker; teaching aid.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze student needs for teaching materials needed in Computational Physics courses. This research is an quantitative research. The research subjects were physics education students in the 2021 batch of Jambi University who had contracted a computational physics course. The sample consisted of 25 students taken randomly. The research data were obtained from the results of the initial observation questionnaire and the desired teaching material needs analysis questionnaire. From the initial observation questionnaire, it can be concluded that 55.2% of students do not agree if they only use books as teaching materials, so it is necessary to develop teaching materials that are more practical and easy to understand. Based on the needs analysis of the development of teaching materials shows that 85.6% of students strongly agree if a teaching material is developed in the form of website development as teaching material for computational physics course supporters on linear and non-linear equations material.
