<![CDATA[àAbstrakàMembuat suatu pekerjaan konstruksi yang berkualitas menjadi target bagi semua pelaksana konstruksi. Namun, pada kenyataanya, untuk membuat pekerjaan konstruksi berkualitas terdapat banyak kendala. Hal ini disebakan pekerjaan konstruksi memiliki tingkat kerumitan dan ragam yang sangat tinggi. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan sebuah sistem perencanaan dan pengendalian yang terstruktur dan berkualitas. Pada pekerjaan renovasi kantor Harvest Kemang 43 terdapat masalah. Masalah yang terjadi adalah keterlambatan proses penyelesaian pekerjaan. Menurut data, realisasi pekerjaan renovasi kantor Harvest selama 8 bulan 2 minggu dengan pengeluaran proyek sebesar Rp 1.349.840.000,-. Bila ditinjau pada perencanaan waktu penyelesain seharusnya 7 bulan dengan pengeluaran proyek sebesar Rp 1.246.199.000,-. Dari data keduanya terlihat selisih yang jauh antar waktu penyelesaian dan biaya yang dikeluarkan. Selisih tersebut terjadi karena manajemen puncak melaksanakan pekerjaan tidak berdasarkan metode ilmiah. Manajemen puncak hanya melaksanakan pekerjaan berdasarkan kondisi di lapangan. Paper ini mengulas pekerjaan renovasi kantor Harvest dengan menggunakan metode jalur kritis dengan melakukan pengambilan data berupa rekaman dan observasi di lapangan. Setelah dilakukan penelitian didapat waktu penyelesain selama 191 hari dengan jalur kritis sebanyak dua puluh pekerjaan. Bila pelaksana proyek dapat melaksanakan pekerjaan berdasarkan metode jalur kritis, maka diyakini masalah akibat keterlambatan pekerjaan dan selisih pengeluaran proyek dengan anggaran dapat diminimalkan.àKata Kunci: konstruksi, metode jalur kritis, kantor harvest.ààAbstractàCreating quality construction works had been a target for any contractors. However, in reality, producing quality construction involves many obstacles as construction works vary and require complex tasks including a structured and qualified planning and control system. A problem occurred at the renovation of the Harvest Kemang 43 office. The problem concerned with the tardiness of task completion. The record showed that the office renovation was completed in 8 months and 2 weeks with project expenditure amounting to Rp. 1.349.840.000; àwhereas according to the budget and plan, it should be completed in 7 months with the expenditure of Rp Rp 1.246.199.000. The data showed a big difference between the actual time of completion and costs and those of the realization. The difference occured since the top management decided to carry out the work based on only the field conditions not on the scientific method. The author tried to review the Harvest office renovation works by using the critical path method and data collection in the form of recording and observations in the field. The research found that the time required to complete was 191 days involving twenty jobs of critical path.
