Abstract

ABSTRAK Motivasi dan pemahaman konsep merupakan aspek yang harus dimiliki oleh peserta didik sehingga dapat mengikuti proses pembelajaran dengan baik. Berdasarkan kajian literatur yang telah dilakukan, PBL merupakan salah satu model pembelajaran yang mampu membuat aktivitas belajar lebih aktif sehingga berpengaruh positif pada motivasi belajar dan pemahaman konsep peserta didik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik melalui model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada mata pelajaran Ekonomi kelas VII SMP Negeri 4 Kairatu. Penelitian ini menggunakan Metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (Classroom Action Research).Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan kolaborasi antara peneliti,guru dan melibatkan keaktifan peserta didik . Subjek penelitian peserta didik siklus 1 dan siklus 2. Yang menjadi populasi adalah semua peserta didik kelas 7 SMP Negeri 4 Kairatu sebanyak 28 siswa, sampelnya diambil dari keseluruhan populasi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan angket sederhana. Prosedur penelitian meliputi tahap : (a) perencanaan tindakan, (b) pelaksanaan tindakan ,(c) observasi dan intrepretasi, dan (d) analisis dan refleksi. Dari penelitian terhadap aspek-aspek tersebut, maka dapat di simpulkan bahwa Model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik sebesar 10,54% (siklus I sebesar 79,92% dan Siklus II sebesar 90,4%). Peningkatan keaktifan peserta didik dalam pembelajaran sebesar 19,36 % (siklus I sebesar 75,02% dan Siklus 2 sebesar 93,10%.Kesimpulan Hipotesis dapat diterima. Kata Kunci : Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning, Motivasi Belajar ABSTRACT Motivation and understanding of concepts are aspects that students must have so they can follow the learning process well.Based on the literature review that has been carried out, PBL is a learning model that is able to make learning activities more active so that it has a positive effect on students' learning motivation and understanding of concepts.The aim of this research is to increase students' learning motivation through the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model in class VII Economics at SMP Negeri 4 Kairatu. This research uses the Classroom Action Research Method. The research was carried out in collaboration between researchers, teachers and involved active students. The research subjects were students from cycle 1 and cycle 2. The population was all 28 grade 7 students at SMP Negeri 4 Kairatu, the sample was taken from the entire population. Data collection techniques use simple observation and questionnaires. The research procedure includes stages: (a) action planning (b) implementation of actions (c) observation and interpretation, and (d) analysis and reflection. From research on these aspects, it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model can increase students' learning motivation by 10.54% (Cycle I by 79.92% and Cycle II by 90.4%). The increase in student activity in learning was 19.36% (Cycle I was 75.02% and Cycle 2 was 93.10%. Hypothesis conclusion was acceptable. Keywords: Problem Based Learning Model, Learning Motivation
