Abstract

This research aims to determine the forms of activities and forms of guidance for class VII students at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah Islamic Boarding School Prof. Dr. Hamka Maninjau. This type of research takes the form of field research using a qualitative descriptive approach, namely research that tries to describe and interpret a situation that is currently occurring in the field. Data collection uses observation, interviews, and documentation. The data sources in this research were the principal of Madrasah Tsanawiyah, tahsin teachers, and class VII students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Islamic Boarding School, Prof. Dr. Hamka Maninjau. Data were analyzed by triangulation through 3 stages, namely preparation, checking, and evaluation. The conclusion of this research is; i) preparation of teachers and students, namely teaching materials, making syllabi, lesson implementation plans, making concept maps, collecting resources, stationery and tahsin teaching materials needed for teaching such as the Al-Qur'an and memorizing books, ii) equipment prepared is that the teacher makes a syllabus and prepares a learning implementation plan, iii) the media used is that the teacher uses books, whiteboards, and markers during tahsin activities. Meanwhile, the sources used are the Al-Qur'an, memorized books, and the Iqra' book volume iv) the obstacle faced is the lack of time in tahsin activities, v) the type of assessment is oral and written tests. In tahsin guidance there is guidance with halaqqah: i) the approach used by the teacher is the talaqi method, ii) guidance is not always in accordance with the plan that has been made, there are students who already understand and there are also those who do not fully understand the tahsin material, iii) Obstacles that arise found in students' verbal assessments, namely being sleepy and not repeating lessons, iv) students' responses to tahsin guidance can improve how to memorize the Al-Qur'an according to tajwid rules.

Abstract

Class management is a determinant of creating a comfortable, conducive, and efficient learning atmosphere and learning objectives can be achieved. The aim of this research is to look at forms of classroom management that are conducive to  history of Islam subjects at madrasah tsanawiyah muhammadiyah Padang Panjang. This research uses qualitative descriptive methods and the technique of purposive sampling. To obtain data, researchers used observation, interviews, and documentation. The data processing techniques are data reduction, data presentation, conclusions, or verification. Researchers use these data processing techniques to obtain accurate research results. The research results obtained are; i) class management requires a warm and enthusiastic teacher attitude, creating challenges in the learning process so that students become enthusiastic, having the ability to vary and be flexible in teaching so that students are active and try to focus during the learning process, emphasizing positive things and cultivating self-discipline so that the learning process is not disturbed and students have a sense of responsibility. ii) skills in preventive classroom management in the form of: a). being responsive and paying attention can prevent disturbances from students, b). providing clear instructions can help students stay focused in the learning process. Then classroom management skills are repressive in the form of a) modifying behavior, which can make students quickly and easily understand the material because they do not commit deviant actions during the learning process, b) finding and solving problematic behavior, which can make the learning process comfortable, effective, conducive and efficient. iii) supporting factors for classroom management such as curriculum, buildings, and teachers. Inhibiting factors such as facilities and infrastructure, as well as students and families in classroom management, can be a reference in improving or reducing the atmosphere of the learning process. The results of this research can be used as initial data for future researchers in studying this problem in different contexts and issues.

Abstract

The mus canduang Islamic boarding school uses its vision and mission as guidelines in the learning process. This shows that the vision and mission of this madrasah encompasses the entire character, both the character recommended in religion and the character recommended by the government. School principals and teachers work together to shape students' character through the existing vision and mission both in the learning process and in extracurricular activities, inside school and outside school. In this case, researchers are interested in researching the identification and analysis of the character education design process implemented at the mus canduang Islamic boarding school. This research is field research using descriptive methods. The research results show that for those selected to be responsible for the position they hold, teachers are also responsible for student activities from the start of learning until the learning is completed. For extracurricular activities, the person responsible is the teacher who guides the activity. Implementation is divided into two, namely intracurricular and extracurricular, intracurricular, namely the learning process in class, the teacher will direct students to pay attention to learning, and students are required to be active and creative. Extracurricular activities are activities carried out outside mandatory class hours such as scouts or cults. Teacher evaluation carries out supervision or observation weekly, or once a month. According to the head of the curriculum at the mus canduang Islamic boarding school, the results of character education have improved, both in terms of discipline and in terms of manners.

Abstract

At the Miftahul Ulumi Syar’iyah Canduang Islamic boarding school, the vision and mission are seamlessly woven into the educational fabric, embracing diverse dimensions of character development outlined by religious and governmental directives. Through a collective effort, school administrators and teachers utilize these foundational principles to foster students' character growth, extending into extracurricular activities both within and outside the school premises. Researchers seek to investigate and evaluate the character education model implemented at the Miftahul Ulumi Syar’iyah Canduang Islamic boarding school, employing a descriptive methodology that encompasses field research techniques. Teachers oversee student activities throughout lessons and extracurriculars, ensuring active participation and guidance. The educational approach divides into intracurricular and extracurricular realms, with teachers directing classroom engagement and extracurricular pursuits occurring outside regular hours. Teacher evaluations, conducted weekly or monthly, monitor progress. The head of curriculum notes improved discipline and manners among students, reflecting positive character education outcomes.

Abstract

This research describes improving students' prayer skills through the demonstration method, namely practicing directly with class III students at elementary school 57 Tukum II Bungo, Jambi. This research aims to find out whether the demonstration method can improve students' prayer skills. The type of research used was classroom action research with 16 class III student respondents. The research design uses several cycles, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data was collected by conducting observations, interviews, tests, and documentation, which became the data source for Islamic  Education teachers and class III students. Data is analyzed through student learning completeness. Research results: i) students' understanding through the demonstration method of prayer material which was carried out in class III at elementary school 80 Tukum II Bungo, Jambi showed that it was successful in improving students' prayer skills. This can be seen from the analysis of the results of prayer practice where the initial pre-cycle ability consisted of 6 students who completed it with a percentage of 37.5%. In the first cycle, there were 9 students with a percentage of 56.25%, in the second cycle there were 12 students with a percentage of 75% and in the third cycle the Islamic Education target was 16 students, a percentage of  100%. ii) inhibiting factors and supporting factors in class III students' understanding: i) inhibiting factors, namely the time factor, the student's grasping power factor, and the lack of teaching aids. ii) supporting factors, namely learning becomes clearer and reduces student misunderstandings.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the implementation of the program used in developing morals for students of Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah al-Jami'ah Indonesian Da'wah Academy Aqabah Bukittinggi, evaluating the program used in developing morals for students of Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Al-Jami'ah Indonesian Da'wah Academy Aqabah Bukittinggi and for inhibiting and supporting factors in implementing the moral development program for students at Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah al-Jami'ah Indonesian Da'wah Academy Aqabah Bukittinggi. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques: observation, interviews and documentation. After all the data was collected, the author carried out classification, editing, and adjustments to the character and type of each data, then filtered it into a final conclusion. Based on the results of research conducted by the author, show that the Moral Development Program for students at Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah al-Jami'ah Indonesian Da'wah Academy Aqabah Bukittinggi can be seen from various aspects, namely: implementation of the student moral development program, namely the main program and supporting programs. The main program is a weekly study program carried out in the dormitory. Then the supporting programs are the muhadhatsah, muhadharoh, tahsin, tahfizh and lailatul Quran programs. All programs aim to ensure that students have good manners or good morals.
