Abstract

Kepala madrasah merupakan faktor penting bagi keberhasilan lembaga pendidikan khususnya dalam pembelajaran. Peran kepala madrasah yang bagus akan mampu memberikan konstribusi bagi peningkatan pendidikan karakter. Oleh sebab itu, sangat diperlukan peran kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan pendidikan karakter. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan pendidikan karakter melalui: (1) pembinaan budaya sekolah, (2) internalisasi ke dalam program pembelajaran, (3) kerjasama dengan orang tua santri, dan (4) faktor pendudukung dan penghambat kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan pendidikan karakter santriwati di MA KMI Diniyyah Puteri Padang Panjang. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, maka penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data dalam bentuk observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Peran kepala madrasah melalui peningkatan budaya sekolah sudah berjalan dengan baik.Ini terlihat dari kedisiplinan sekolah, peraturan yang berlaku baik dari segi pakaian maupun dari segi sikap dan tingkah laku santriwati, sarana dan prasarana serta hubungan kepala madrasah dengan bawahannya yang ada di likungkungan MA KMI Diniyyah Puteri. (2) Peran kepala madrasah melalui internalisasi program pembelajaran memberikan pengarahan dan pembinaan kepada guru baik ke dalam silabus maupun lesson plan sehingga terlihat dari hasil observasi dan wawancara yang penulis lakukan, diperkirakan Sembilan puluh lima persen diterapkan oleh guru baik ke dalam silabus maupun ke dalam lesson plan, namun pada hakikatnya dalam proses pembelajaran sudah diterapkan oleh semua guru. (3) Peran kepala madrasah melalui kerjasama dengan orang tua santri dilakukan melalui komunikasi yang baik dan mengadakan training yang melibatkan orang tua santri. (4) Faktor pendukung adalah semangat dan kerjasama antara guru dan kepala madrasah, serta pihak yayasan dalam melaksanakan setiap kegiatan sekolah, tersedianya sarana dan prasarana yang lengkap. Disamping itu, MA KMI Diniyyah Puteri mempunyai keunikan yaitu DTQ, DTC, DRC, DITC, DCC, DEC, DAC, DE, DG, dan Poliklinik. Selanjutnya, santri yang masuk ke MA KMI Diniyyah Puteri diharapkan setelah tamatnya memiliki tiga karakter yaitu: ahli ibadah, akhlakul karimah, kuat dan tegar sebagai mujahid Allah dan cerdas sebagai khalifah. Ini juga didukung dengan diadakan santri super camp, stdudi ilmiah dan leadership camp.Sedangkan yang menjadi faktor penghambat dapat dilihat dari segi sumber daya manusia

Abstract

Usia lanjut merupakan periode penutup dalam rentang hidup seseorang, dimana seseorang telah beranjak jauh dari periode terdahulu yang lebih menyenangkan. Biasanya orang yang sudah beranjak jauh dari periode hidupnya yang terdahulu, sering melihat masa lalunya dengan penuh penyesalan dan cenderung ingin hidup di masa sekarang. Untuk itu perlu bimbingan atau pembinaan yang diberikan kepada lanjut usia agar mampu menjaga emosional yang berdampak besar bagi kesehatan psikologisnya. Sehingga diharapkan lanjut usia akan berusaha semaksimal mungkin mendekatkan dirinya kepada Allah Tuhan Yang Maha Esa.

Abstract

The spread of the COVID-19 outbreak in Indonesia has had a crucial impact on educational institutions. To contain the spread of COVID-19, the government has decided to close schools and implement distance education (online). The impact is that not all schools can carry out distance learning activities due to various obstacles and constraints. The purpose of this study is to conduct an in-depth investigation of the formulation of school principal policies in the implementation of Education to deal with the COVID-19 Pandemic. This research uses a qualitative approach with this type of case study. Data is collected through observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis with interactive techniques. The study results concluded that the formulation of the principal's policy includes the following stages: problem formulation, policy agenda, alternative selection, strategic, operational, and determination.

Abstract

ABSTRACT. This scientific article uses library research. Data is collected through text review and relevant research results. then the data were examined qualitatively by using content analysis. based on the results of the analysis and interpretation of the data, conclusions are drawn which are complemented by suggestions. Besides that, a literature study was carried out by examining various scientific journals and reading books that have a relationship with the visionary leadership of madrasa heads in the digital era. Visionary leadership emphasizes the importance of vision for the organization in realizing an effective and competitive organization. The power of leadership results in various policies and operationalization of work that are guided by the vision of the organization. A visionary leader is highly required to have clear goals and vision in the Institution he leads so that it becomes an advanced and competitive Institution. Thus, a visionary leader must be able to meet the progress that can be realized with full optimism even though there are many obstacles and obstacles. Effective Islamic education leadership can create many indications of achievement in Islamic education institutions, even at the same time the willingness of leaders who make changes and reforms using effective leadership patterns triggers reforms in a better direction. Abstract

The problems faced by educational institutions in Indonesia generally involve quality, relevance, and management. The existence of this problem gives rise to problems in Islamic education. This research aims to determine teacher programs in improving Al-Quran reading and writing skills, forms of activities for implementing Al-Qur'an reading and writing learning, supporting and inhibiting factors for Al-Qur'an reading and writing learning in Al-Qur'an Education Parks in the area Pasir Jambak, Koto Tangah, Padan. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation with data analysis through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions and verification. The results of this research can conclude that: The Al-Quran reading and writing program has been implemented well, this can be seen from the routine activities of reading and writing the Al-Quran carried out by the Islamic boarding school students. This learning activity is fully supported by human resources in the Al-Qur'an Education Park environment with the quality of knowledge and morals possessed by teacher figures so that it becomes motivation and a good source of information for the students, while there are inhibiting factors for the students in attending learning activities so that learning activities are delayed and not optimal. The results of this research can provide guidance for Al-Qur'an Education Park managers and can be used as initial data for future researchers in studying this problem in different contexts and issues.

Abstract

Class management is a determinant of creating a comfortable, conducive, and efficient learning atmosphere and learning objectives can be achieved. The aim of this research is to look at forms of classroom management that are conducive to  history of Islam subjects at madrasah tsanawiyah muhammadiyah Padang Panjang. This research uses qualitative descriptive methods and the technique of purposive sampling. To obtain data, researchers used observation, interviews, and documentation. The data processing techniques are data reduction, data presentation, conclusions, or verification. Researchers use these data processing techniques to obtain accurate research results. The research results obtained are; i) class management requires a warm and enthusiastic teacher attitude, creating challenges in the learning process so that students become enthusiastic, having the ability to vary and be flexible in teaching so that students are active and try to focus during the learning process, emphasizing positive things and cultivating self-discipline so that the learning process is not disturbed and students have a sense of responsibility. ii) skills in preventive classroom management in the form of: a). being responsive and paying attention can prevent disturbances from students, b). providing clear instructions can help students stay focused in the learning process. Then classroom management skills are repressive in the form of a) modifying behavior, which can make students quickly and easily understand the material because they do not commit deviant actions during the learning process, b) finding and solving problematic behavior, which can make the learning process comfortable, effective, conducive and efficient. iii) supporting factors for classroom management such as curriculum, buildings, and teachers. Inhibiting factors such as facilities and infrastructure, as well as students and families in classroom management, can be a reference in improving or reducing the atmosphere of the learning process. The results of this research can be used as initial data for future researchers in studying this problem in different contexts and issues.

Abstract

Understanding student motivation for learning Islamic education in Indonesian senior high schools is crucial for enhancing educational outcomes and student engagement. The aim of this research is to look at students' intrinsic motivation, students' extrinsic motivation, supporting and inhibiting factors in learning Islamic religious education. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation with data analysis through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions and verification. The results of this research were obtained: i) the intrinsic motivation of students at Senior High School in learning Islamic religious education was obtained through the appreciation given by the teacher and the students' sense of responsibility. This award is motivation for students to develop and progress further in their learning process, ii) extrinsic motivation for Senior High School students is obtained from the motivation provided by teachers, principals, and all the environment in the school. Adequate infrastructure is one of the motivations for student learning in achieving goals, iii) supporting factors in increasing student learning motivation in learning Islamic religious education, namely students are given Islamic religious learning guidance, in the form of congregational prayers, tahfiz, reading the Quran and delivering learning material. The inhibiting factor in increasing students' learning motivation in learning Islamic religious education is the lack of Islamic religious education lesson hours at school. Apart from the lack of teaching hours for Islamic religious education teachers, students who study religion are less aware of the importance of studying Islam. The results of this research can be used as initial data for future researchers in studying this problem in different contexts and issues.

Abstract

In pursuing educational excellence, this study delved into the dynamic impact of transformative leadership on teacher and student performance, emphasizing innovation and collaboration. Employing a comprehensive mixed-methods research design, the research explored the multifaceted dimensions of transformative leadership in the educational context. Data collection involved surveys to quantify perceptions and in-depth interviews to capture nuanced insights, ensuring a holistic understanding of leadership dynamics. The findings revealed that transformative leadership significantly influenced teachers, fostering heightened dedication and professional growth. Students, in turn, experienced a more enriching learning environment, leading to improved academic outcomes and socio-emotional well-being. The study also identified collaborative decision-making and supportive school culture as pivotal within the transformative leadership paradigm.

Abstract

This study aims to instill the values ​​of character education in strengthening the culture of digital literacy for teenagers at State Vocational Schools in Palembang City. This research uses educational, historical, and sociological approaches where research data is sourced from primary and secondary data from literature or reference books and documents as supporting data. The researchers were the essential instruments, and they then developed new instruments, namely observation guidelines, interview guidelines, and documentation. All three are used to collect data in the field. For this study, two main factors play a vital role in the reinforcement of the results of the data analysis study: supporting factors and inhibiting factors. The results of this study indicate that the values ​​of character education in strengthening the culture of digital literacy, which are carried out at State Vocational Schools in Palembang City, are still shallow, even though there are 15 minutes of extensive reading movements which are carried out every day but this is due to the lack of time allotted for the implementation of literacy culture. The character values ​​instilled in students are bright, honest, responsible, disciplined, and caring.
