Abstract

The enemy of progress is comfort. Some people might say, don't we need to feel comfortable in this life? This opinion is not completely wrong, but if we only pursue comfort, then we can get trapped in the comfort zone that we created ourselves. The comfort zone will make a person no longer productive and responsive to change. If someone is trapped in a comfort zone, then their life will quickly decline by it self. This research is motivated by ideal conditions and reality conditions regarding comfort zones and faith zones. The ideal condition is that young Christians must experience a breakthrough in their faith and work for God in accordance with the Bible and the reality is that many young Christians are still tied to their comfort zone. The aim to be achieved in this research is to release Christian youth out of their comfort zone into the faith zone. The research was conducted at the Indonesian Protestant Christian Church with church youth, using qualitative research. Based on research results, many young Christians are still comfortable in their comfort zone. Thus, we raised the title "Get out of the comfort zone into the faith zone". Therefore, it is recommended that every young Christian must first instill good Christian character and values according to the contents of the Bible.

Abstract

Affective learning strategies aim to expose students to problem situations, so that they can make decisions based on parts that are considered quality. The research used by the author is a literature study or called the literature review method, which is sourced from books, journals, and websites that discuss affective learning to improve morals through student character or attitudes, for future student provision. Religious education in schools plays an important role in the formation and development of students' attitudes and morals, one of which is to fulfill spiritual needs and mindsets. Challenges such as a dense curriculum require effective religious learning strategies to instill religious values that can be applied in everyday life. These strategies should also help students understand themselves to control emotions and form strong characters. Increased student motivation can be achieved through verbal rewards, test scores as a motivator for success, and rewards. Fun learning will make learners more understandable, active and motivated. In the context of values and attitudes education, learning strategies should include the organization of materials as well as clear and measurable objectives. Value and attitude education is very important in shaping individual character in accordance with norms, laws, religion, and academics.

Abstract

Students' active learning in learning is an important and fundamental issue that must be understood, realized and developed by every teacher in the learning process. Learning activeness is a motor in learning activities. It is not enough for students to just listen and take notes, but students also have to participate directly by providing responses during learning. The learning process is essentially to develop students' active learning through various interactions and learning experiences, where students' active learning can be achieved through group learning activities or individual learning. Learning media acts as a tool to make it easier for students to receive messages from the teacher. According to Hamalik in Arsyad, the use of learning media in the teaching and learning process can generate new desires and interests, generate motivation and stimulation of learning activities, and even have psychological influences on students. The use of learning media at the learning orientation stage will greatly help the effectiveness of the learning process and delivery of messages and lesson content at that time.

Abstract

The role of teachers in education is crucial and multifaceted. Teachers not only act as knowledge facilitators but also as mentors, motivators, and role models for students. As facilitators, teachers manage and deliver instructional content in engaging and relevant ways, helping students grasp necessary concepts and skills. As mentors, they provide individualized guidance and support, tailoring their teaching approaches to meet the diverse needs and abilities of each student. In their motivational role, teachers encourage students to stay motivated and enthusiastic about learning, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. Additionally, teachers serve as role models, demonstrating the values and behaviors expected through their daily actions and interactions. Thus, teachers play a key role in developing students' potential, facilitating academic achievement, and shaping their character and social skills essential for their future lives.

This program is designed to empower teenagers with the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to become strong, responsible individuals and contribute positively to society. The spirit promoted by “Pak Teen” is the spirit of continuous growth and learning. We believe that every teenager has untapped potential, and through a holistic approach, we are committed to helping them develop their abilities to the full. The values we instill in this program include: Independence: We encourage teenagers to be independent, emotionally and financially independent, so that they can face life’s challenges with confidence. Empathy and Openness: We teach the importance of understanding and respecting differences, as well as being a good listener and empathizing with others. Leadership and Collaboration: We empower teens to become effective leaders, but also to be able to work together in teams and build strong relationships with others. Integrity: We emphasize the importance of acting in accordance with correct moral and ethical values, even when faced with pressure or temptation. Creativity and Innovation: We encourage teens to think outside the box, develop new ideas, and create solutions to complex problems. “Adolescent Christian Religious Education” is not just an educational program, but also a community where teenagers can learn, grow and support each other. By uniting these spirits and values, we hope to form a young generation who is ready to face the future with optimism and courage.
