Abstract

One of the important resources in management is human resources (HR) or human resources. The importance of human resources needs to be realized by all levels of management, including management, the importance of human resources needs to be realized at all levels of management, including the management of Islamic education. This study uses a literature study research method. The problems outlined include (1) Human resources in educational institutions (2) Problems and challenges of Islamic education and (3) the development of human resources in Islamic educational institutions in responding to the challenges of the times. The author aims to analyze the problems and challenges of human resources in Islamic educational institutions so that they are able to respond to world challenges and continue to exist to accompany the quality of national education.

Abstract

This article aims to describe how Islamic character building through student-centered learning and the role of stakeholders in through student-centered learning at MAN 1 Mojokerto. The type of this research is qualitative research that used a case study approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The result of this research was: (1) Islamic character building through student-centered learning at MAN 1 Mojokerto, namely; (a) moral knowledge which was implemented through learning activities, (b) moral feeling through habituation, for example, discipline development and rewards or giving gifts and punishments, (3) moral action, which was formed through student-centered learning at MAN 1 Mojokerto, namely smiling, greeting, being polite and courteous, reading the Qur'an, praying before and after studying, enthusiastic and active in learning and maintaining tidiness and cleanliness. (2) The role of stakeholders in Islamic character building through student-centered learning at MAN 1 Mojokerto were: (a) Islamic teachers as educators, facilitators, motivators, administrators, and evaluators, (b) While parents as educators and mentors.

Abstract

This article originates from the author's anxiety over educational problems that are still a terrible scourge for the Indonesian people, namely the low quality of education at every level and educational unit. Various indicators of the quality of education have not shown any improvement, especially in the education units in Islamic educational institutions. Madrasah is an Islamic educational institution that was created among Indonesian people as a result of the transformation of culture and religious values. This type of research is a literature study. The data obtained comes from teaching materials, including books, publication journals, thesis repositories, holy of Qur'an and Hadish, and other types of scientific work. The author's goal is to analyze what the strategies are for improving the quality of education in Indonesia, to analyze planning at each level of educational units in Indonesia, and to analyze the problems and solutions of educational institutions in Indonesia. Basically, it is aimed at preparing humans to face a more prosperous future, both individual’s and collectively as a society, nation, and world.
