Abstract

Learning something substantial in the educational process, however, in the process, there are several inhibiting factors, such as learning boredom. This research aims to find out the process of learning activities, the factors of learning boredom and the efforts of PAI teachers to overcome learning boredom at Mekar Arum Middle School. Researchers used a qualitative descriptive approach with a type of field research. The data collection techniques are in the form of interviews, observation and documentation. The research results show that the student learning process at Mekar Arum Middle School is enthusiastic, but regarding Islamic date material, students are less enthusiastic. Factors of student boredom based on interview results include monotonous methods, power points, just a summary of the material, energy for learning has been drained by previous learning and enthusiasm for learning only at the beginning of learning activities. PAI teachers' efforts to overcome learning boredom are by using interactive media, including crossword puzzle media, the Snakes and Ladders game, which has been modified and adapted to the learning material and quizizz.
