Abstract

Researcher found a lack of students activity during the learning process which was carried out by forming heterogeneous groups. Based on these problems, researchers conducted a research by applying the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model to grade IIA students at Sendangguwo 01 elementary schooll and aimed to explore students' learning using the TaRL approach with the PBL model in grade IIA at Sendangguwo 01 elementary school. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach. The research participants were 29 studentes in grade IIA at Sendangguwo 01 elementary school that consisted of 14 men and 15 women. The research results showed that students have a positive perception of learning using the TaRL approach with the PBL model. They consider this learning can provide an opportunity to work together with classmates, learn to solve the problems, and they can be in a group with equal abilities. This research provides a deeper understanding of students’ perceptions with TaRL approach learning with the PBL learning model in class IIA at Sendangguwo 01elementary school.

Abstract

This research was conducted based on the low interest and enthusiasm in students’ learning caused by the unfamiliarity of using learning media used by the teacher as the learning tool in the learning process. The subjects of this research were 27 students of Class 3C in SDN Sendangguwo 01. This research aimed to determine the effectiveness of using flashcard as a learning media on the students’ learning outcomes. The learning media used in the research was flashcard. Meanwhile, Pre - Experimental research method with the One Group Pre-test – Post-test Design type was applied as the research method. The purposed of using this method was to see whether there was any impact from before and after utilizing flashcard as a learning media on the students’ learning outcomes. The instrument used in this research was the written test in the form of multiple choices consisting of 10 questions given during the pre-test and post-test. The analysis techniques used in the data processing were the Shapiro Wilk normally test and Paired Sample T-Test calculation, with the value obtained was the P value (Asym.Sig 2tailed) of 0.001, which was less than the critical limit of the research. The final hypothesis was to accept Ha or meant to be interpret that there was a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test using flashcard as the learning media. Thus, it was concluded the use of flashcard as a learning media affected the students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

Currently, Indonesian education is experiencing a slight decline after Covid-19. The aim of this study is to implementation learning style differentiation and analyze the effectiveness carried out in the learning process using mathematics subjects regarding Numbers Up to 10,000. This study was conducted using qualitative methods at SDN Sendangguwo 01 Semarang. The results of observations and diagnostic tests carried out, in the first table, 29% of students have an auditory learning style. Then 54% of students have a visual learning style and 17% of students have a kinesthetic learning style. From the results of the interviews given, it can be seen that differentiated learning using learning styles can increase students' interest in the teaching and learning process.
