Abstract

Knowledge of the diabetes mellitus diet is the first step in increasing compliance of diabetic patients regarding their dietary patterns. Compliance of diabetes patients in implementing a diet is the main key to the stability of the health condition of diabetes mellitus patients. Compliance in diet is one of the factors to stabilize blood sugar levels to normal and prevent complications. This study aims to see the relationship between the level of knowledge of nutritional intake and dietary compliance with blood sugar levels of patients with diabetes mellitus at the Kampar Kiri Hilir Health Center. This research design is an analytic observation with a cross sectional research design where researchers analyze the relationship between knowledge and dietary compliance with blood sugar levels of patients with Diabetes Mellitus at Puskesmas Kampar Kiri Hilir. Instruments in data collection using research questionnaires. The sample in this study were 100 people. Data were analyzed using the Mann Whitney test. The results of this study found that knowledge of nutritional intake with blood sugar levels of diabetics obtained p value = 0.996 and diet compliance with blood sugar levels of diabetics obtained p value = 0.606. Suggestions from this study are that the Puskesmas should be more active in educating the community regarding control and control of blood sugar. Keywords: Knowledge, Nutrition Intake, Adherence, Diabetes Mellitus

Abstract

Background : Stunting can be caused by a lack of proper understanding and attitudes related to nutrition and health during pregnancy. Therefore, an educational program is needed to improve the understanding and attitudes of pregnant mothers, such as through audiovisual media.Purpose : to determine the effect of stunting education using audiovisual media on the knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women in the Mangkupalas Health Center Working Area. Methods : This quasi-experimental study used a pre-post test design with a control group. A total of 34 participants were selected through purposive sampling, with 16 in the intervention group and 18 in the control group. The research was conducted at Mangkupalas Health Center from April 26 to May 31, 2023. Data were collected through questionnaires, and the intervention group received education through audiovisual media for 8 minutes, while the control group received material in the form of leaflets. Data analysis was conducted using the Wilcoxon test and the Mann Whitney test.Result : The results of the study indicate that stunting education using audiovisual media successfully increased the knowledge of pregnant women (p = 0.013) but had no impact on their attitudes (p = 0.083). Difference analysis showed no significant difference in knowledge improvement after receiving education through audiovisual media compared to leaflets (p = 0.687).Conclusion: Stunting education through audiovisual media influences the knowledge of pregnant women but does not significantly impact their attitudes

Abstract

This research aims to discover how to create and implement an expert system for prenatal disease diagnosis. To prepare this study, the author employed several data collection techniques, including observation, interviews, and a literature review. The system to be designed was developed using an object-oriented paradigm and a Rapid Application Development (RAD) technique. Multiple development stages are involved in creating RAD, including requirement planning, workshop design, and implementation. Based on the study findings, it was discovered that the PHP programming language, MySQL database management system, Apache web server, UML tool, and RAD system development methodology were used to create an expert system for identifying illnesses in expectant mothers. The forward chaining method is used for this expert system, where the first stages are to create an inference tree and set rules. This system likewise computes the consistency test using the Bayes theorem method. With an 80% accuracy rate, SISPADIBU can be used as a diagnostic tool for disorders related to pregnancy. SISPADIBU can use the user-entered symptoms to present the diagnosis results. According to the survey results, 80% of users said that SISPADIBU was highly user-friendly, that the layout display was simple to use, and that it was constructive in educating users about pregnancy disorders.

Background : Overweight is a widespread issue among children and adolescents aged 5-19 in multiple countries. Adolescents are influenced by physical activity and social media, affecting body image perception and health, potentially leading to low self-esteem, depression, disrupted physical activity, and eating patterns. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of nutrition education using Instagram on body image perception and eating patterns of adolescents with overweight incidents at SMP Negeri 4 Samarinda.Research Methods : Quantitative quasi-experimental research with the One-Group Pretest-Posttest research design. The research subjects were 16 students who were taken using a purposive sampling technique with the Lemeshow formula in February-March 2023 at SMPN 4 Samarinda. Body image perception uses the BSQ-34 questionnaire. Dietary patterns were obtained using the SQ-FFQ. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test.Research Result : The results of this study indicate that there is effectiveness of nutrition education using Instagram on body image perception and the pattern of adolescents with overweight incidents at SMPN 4 Samarinda is indicated by a p-value (0.05). However, there is no effectiveness of nutrition education using Instagram on eating patterns (fat intake) indicated by a p-value ( 0.05).Conclusion : There is a significant relationship between nutrition education using Instagram on body image perception and eating patterns of adolescents and the incidence of overweight at SMPN 4 Samarinda. There is no significant relationship between diet (fat intake) and the incidence of adolescent overweight at SMPN 4 Samarinda

Abstract

Kelurahan Buluminung is one of the villages in Penajam Sub-district, Penajam Paser Utara Regency. This village has several problems, one of which is the absence of temporary shelters (TPS) and final processing sites in the Muan area (RT 2 to RT 6). The purpose of this activity is to overcome organic waste that is easily degraded by applying biopore infiltration holes in planting fruit plants. The method used in this activity is divided into two, namely direct practice in the field (applied) and socialization. The applied part consists of several stages, namely the layout of land facilities, soil pH measurement, making biopore infiltration holes, selecting fruit plant seeds, planting fruit plants, and installing SOPs for the utilization of biopore infiltration holes. After that, socialization was carried out to show the results of practice directly in the field. This socialization activity was divided into three main materials, namely 1) Biopori, 2) Fruit Planting, and 3) Fruit Plant Care. The results obtained from this activity are the implementation of direct practice in the field and socialization of the use of biopore infiltration holes in planting fruit plants in the general public of Buluminung village. There were people who managed to make biopore infiltration holes and apply them in their yard after the implementation of this activity.

Abstract

Adolescent girls are at high risk of anemia. The results of the 2021 health screening are known that 46.15% of adolescent girls are at risk of anemia at SMPN 17 Samarinda. Lack of knowledge and awareness about anemia is a major challenge in handling this condition. This study aims to determine the effect of anemia education with animated videos on adherence to the consumption of blood-added tablets and hemoglobin levels of adolescent girls at SMPN 17 Samarinda. Quantitative research using quasi-experimental design with pretest-posttest approach with control group design. The number of samples was 36 people by purposive sampling divided into 2 groups, each 18 respondents in the experimental group with animated videos and controls with leaflets. The study was conducted from May to July 2023 at SMPN 17 Samarinda. Data collection in this study used MMAS-8 questionnaire and hemoglobin level examination. Data analysis using Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney tests with significance levels ?=0.05. There was a significant difference in adherence to the consumption of blood-added tablets (p = 0.000) and hemoglobin levels (p = 0.000) in the experimental group with animated videos. In the control group with leaflets there was an increase in consumption adherence (p = 0.000), but there was no significant difference in hemoglobin levels (p = 0.112). There was a significant mean difference in adherence to the consumption of blood-added tablets (p = 0.002) and hemoglobin levels (p = 0.001) between the experimental group and the control group. Further research may be conducted by taking into account the consumption of foods containing iron using food consumption survey assessments so as to produce accurate data.
