<![CDATA[Abstrak Tujuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Pendekatan Problem Based Learning Terhadap Peningkatan Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis Siswa SMK Negeri 1 Rantau Utara. Pada penelitian ini yang akan menjadi populasi adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMK Negeri 1 Rantau Utara Provinsi Sumatera Utara yang berjumlah 4 kelas dengan jumlah seluruh siswa 142 orang. Sampel yang akan diambil dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMK Negeri 1 Rantau Utara Provinsi Sumatera Utara yang dijadikan sebagai kelas penelitian, yaitu kelas Teknik Komputer Jaringan berjumlah 36 orang siswa, terdiri dari 7 orang siswa laki-laki dan 36 orang siswa perempuan.Hasil penelitian ada pengaruh pendekatan Problem Based Learning terhadap peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SMK Negeri 1 Rantau Utara diperoleh perbedaan Mean = 40.71 yang berarti selisih skor keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa antara sebelum dan sesudah di terapkan pendekatan problem based learning. Hasil terpenting dari table harga statistic t = 20.832 dengan db 28 dan angka sig atau p-value = 0.000 < 0.05 atau Ho ditolak. Dengan demikian disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pendekatan problem based learning terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SMK Negeri 1 Rantau Utara. Hal ini bermakna bahwa pendekatan Problem Based Learning di SMK Negeri 1 Rantau Utara berlangsung dengan baik memberi pengaruh yang positif. Kata Kunci: Problem Based Learning, Berpikir Kritis Siswa AbstractThe aim of this research is to determine the effect of the problem based learning approach on improving the critical thinking skills of students at SMK Negeri 1 Rantau Utara. In this study, the population will be all students in class X of SMK Negeri 1 Rantau Utara, North Sumatra Province, totaling 4 classes with a total of 142 students. The samples that will be taken in this research are class. The results of the research showed that there was an effect of the Problem Based Learning approach on improving the critical thinking skills of students at SMK Negeri 1 Rantau Utara.
