Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect and get the best combination of organic mulch congongrass and chicken manure on the growth and production of onion (Allium ascalonicum L.) The research was conducted in experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau on Campus Bina widya Km 12.5 Kelurahan Simpang Baru Kecamatan Tampan Pekanbaru from April to June 2017. The research was conducted in a randomized complete design (RAL). The treatment was done by doing a combination between organic mulch with chicken manure. The parameters in this observation were plant height, number of leaves, number of tubers, percentage of tubers, tuber weight and tuber weight of storage. The results obtained were analyzed statistically using variance analysis and continued with a 5% DNMRT advanced test. The results showed that combination treatment without organic mulch congongrass and chicken manure 13,890 kg/ha can increase plant height, leaf number, tuber weight, fresh weight of tuber and tuber weight is saving but no effect on the number of onion crop tubers. Combination treatment without the application of organic mulch congongrass and chicken manure 13,890 kg/ha can increase fresh weight of onion plant as much as 112,74% and save weight of onion plant as much as 250% compared with mulching and without chicken manure. Keyword: Combination, organic mulch congongrass, chicken manure

Abstract

The aim of this research was to find out the effect of treatment of solid waste the palm oil mill (Sludge) and phosphates and getting the best treatment combination on the growth and productivity of shallot. This research was conducted on experimental farm, the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University, Campus Bina Widya Km 12,5, sub-district of Simpang Baru, district of Tampan, Pekanbaru, from May until September 2016. The research design was randomized complete block design, factorial 4x2 and 3 replications. The first factor was solid waste the palm oil mill (5, 10, 15, and 20 ton. Ha-1) and the second factor was phosphates fertilizer (50 and 100 kgP2O5. Ha-1). Data results were analyzed statistically operates with anova and Duncan test continued level of 5%. The result of the research showed that the interaction of solid waste the palm oil mill and phosphates fertilizer have no effect to all of observed parameters significantly. The result revealed that the 20 tons. Ha-1 solid waste the palm oil mill with 50 kgP2O5. Ha-1 phosphates were better than other combination of treatments because the treatments showed the highest quantity. Keywords: Solid waste the palm oil mill, phosphates and Shallot.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the interaction of sawdust mulch and fermented cow urine and to get the best dose to the cocoa seedlings growth.This study has been conducted at the Experimental Garden, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau fromJune to October 2016 using Completely Randomized Design 2 factors of ie : (1) thedose of sawdust mulch(0, 150, 250, 350 g/polybag)and (2)fermented cow urine (concentration 0, 10, 20, 30%) with 3 replications. Each experimental unit consisting of 2 sample, so it takes 96 seeds.The parameters were observed are temperature and humidity, observation of growth, plant height, girth trunk, number of leaves, root volume, dry weight seedlings  and shoot and roots ratio.The results showed that the interaction of sawdust mulch dose of 150 g/polybag and fermented cow urine concentration of 30% significantly a effect on roots ratio. Sawdust mulch gives the best treatment results with dose of 350 g/polybag effect on temperature and humidity, number of leaves and root volume. Cow urine concentration 0f 30% gives the best results in improving plant height, girth trunk, number of leaves and dry weight seedlings. Keywords:Sawdust Mulch, Fermented Cow Urine, Cocoa Seedlings

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the influence of biogas liquid waste, the effect of N fertilizer and the interaction of the combination of biogas liquid waste fertilizer with N fertilizer, and to determine the dosage of biogas liquid waste, N fertilizer and combination of biogas liquid waste fertilizer with N fertilizer that can increase the production of plants mustard. This research was conducted experimentally using Randomized Block Design (RAK) which was arranged in factorial that consist of 2 factors.The first factor is the provision of biogas wastewater, L1 = Liquid waste fertilizer biogas 1 liter / m2, L2 = Liquid waste fertilizer biogas 3 liters / m2, L3 = Liquid waste fertilizer biogas 6 liters / m2, The second factor is the application of N fertilizer, U0 = No N fertilizer, U1 = N fertilizer 11.5 kg / ha equivalent to urea 25 kg / ha, U2 = Fertilizer N 23 kg / ha is equivalent to urea 50 kg / ha, From the above treatment, 9 combinations were obtained. Each experimental unit was repeated 3 times to obtain 27 experimental units and each unit of experiment was 20 plants, and 4 plants were taken as samples. Keywords: Biogas liquid waste, N and mustard greens

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of sludge and liquid manure as well as to obtain the best dose of sludge and liquid fertilizer for the growth of oil palm seedlings in ultisol media. Research conducted at the Experimental Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau Pekanbaru. The study was conducted during the four months from April to August 2015. The study conducted an experiment using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 2 factors and 3 replications. The first factor is the sludge (S), which consists of 4 levels and the second factor is fertilizer complementary liquid (P) consisting of 3 levels. Comparisons between treatment parameters observed were seedling height, number of leaves, the girth, shoot to root ratio, root volume, seedlings dry weight using ANOVA and Duncan's multiple range test level of 5%. The results showed that the application of sludge and PPC has no significant effect on seedling height, number of leaves, girth, shoot to root ratio, seedling dry weight and root volume. Sludge 75 g / polybag and PPC 4 cc / l applications on pre nursery oil palm seedlings in ultisol media tend to improve seedling height, number of leaves, wrap tubers, roots canopy ratio, seedling dry weight and root volume. Keyword : Coconut Oil, Sludge, Fertilizer Complement Liquid, Ultisol

Abstract

This research aims is to determine the increase of onion production by giving chicken manure and KCl as a source of nutrients and to find out the combinations of chicken manure and KCl fertilizer is the best to increase the production of onion. The experiment was conducted in the experimental station of Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau Campus Bina Widya Km 12,5 Simpang Baru Village Tampan Sub District Pekanbaru. This research was conducted from February to May 2017. This study used Completely Randomized Design (RAL) which consists of 2 factors. The first factor is the application of chicken manure (P) which are without chicken manure, 10 ton/ha and 20 ton/ha. The second factor is the application of KCl (K) fertilizer which are without KCl fertilizer, 200 Kg/ha, 300 Kg/ha and 400 Kg/ha. Parameters observed were the number of leaf per clumps, number of tubers per clumps, tuber perimeter, fresh tuber weight per plot, weight of worth saving tuber per plot, dry weight per clumps, production efficiency based on K fertilizer. The data obtained were analyzed statistically with variance and continued with Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at 5%. The results showed that the interaction of chicken manure and KCl fertilizer can improve all observation parameters, to obtain growth and production of onion crops can be given the treatment of chicken manure dose of 20 ton/ha and treatment of KCl fertilizer dose of 300 kg/ha.Keywords: onion, chicken manure, KCl fertilizer

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the effect of K fertilizer and POC concentration, and to get the best combination between K fertilizer and POC concentration for the growth and production of shallot plant (Allium ascalonicum L.). This research was conducted in experimental field of Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, Pekanbaru. The study was conducted for three months, from February to April 2017. The experiment was conducted experimentally in the field using factorial CRD, consisting of two factors and 3 replications. The first factor is potassium fertilizer (KCl): K1: 300 kg.ha-1, K2: 400 kg.ha-1, K3: 500 kg.ha-1. The second factor is POC concentration: P0: 1 ml.l-1, P1: 3 ml.l-1, P2: 6 ml.l-1. Parameters observed in this study were: number of leaves (sheet), plant height (cm), harvest age (dap), number of tubers (fruit), tuber (cm), fresh weight of tubers (g.ha-1) and bulbs dry weight (g.ha-1). The test results were further tested using Duncan's multiple-range test at a 5% level. The results showed that the combination of KCl 500 kg.ha-1 and POC 6 ml.l-1 were the best doses in increasing plant height, tuber count, tuber bulbs, fresh weight of tubers and bulbs dry weight. Keywords: Potassium fertilizer, POC, shallot

Abstract

Cultivation of Strawberries (Fragaria Sp) in substrates Hydroponics can use Liquid Organic Fertilizer (LOF) Super Bionics as a source of nutrients, which need to be investigated the accuracy of the concentration of application, with the aim of getting the best concentration for the growth and production of strawberris. Research was conducted experimentally using completely randomized design (CRD) with 6 treatments and 4 replicates ie liquid organic fertilizer Super Bionic with a concentration of 0 ml / l of water, 1.5 ml / l of water, 2 ml / l of water, 2.5 ml / l of water, 3 ml / l of water and 3.5 ml / l of water. Parameters observaced  such plant height (cm), number of leaves (leaf), days to flowering (days), the age of first harvest (days) and the weight of fruit  per plant (g). The results showed that the liquid organic fertilizer Super Bionic 3 ml / l of water provide the best results on all parameters observed such plant height, leaf number, date of flowering, the age of first harvest and  weight of fruit  per plant.    Keywords: Strawberries (Fragaria Sp), Super Bionic liquid organic fertilizer, substrates       hydroponics.
