Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to study high school students who discuss the problem of drought in Singkawang City, with the help of learning media preparedness booklets. Booklet learning media is an alternative for students in SMA 1 to support geography learning about education, by understanding learning outcomes and student responses to the application of learning media booklets for natural disaster mitigation and adaptation materials. This study uses research and development research methods, the steps taken on 4 resistance are (1) defining (2) design (3) developing (4) disseminate is defining, designing, developing, and distributing. Research place in Singkawang City High School in the even semester of the 2017-2018 academic year. The study design used purposive random sampling. The subject of this study was a class XI high school student in Singkawang City, in Singkawang 1 Public High School. Quantitative data analysis using experimental methods and percentage techniques, data collection using preparedness and documentation questionnaires. The data analysis technique used was anava and anava further test. The prerequisite test used is the normality test and homogeneity test. The results showed the validation by high school geography teachers reached a percentage of 84% and expert media validation was 77%. The booklet that can be used without revision. Hypothesis testing results that prove the probability value> 0.05 then Ho is accepted and probability value <0.05, then Ho is rejected and if the value of sig (2-tailed) 0,000 <0.05 then Ho is rejected which means supporting Booklet learning media affect the preparedness of students at SMAN Kota Singkawang. The results of student preparedness in the face of disasters indicate that there are students who are less prepared and almost 33.33% who are not ready to face natural difficulties. However, after being given learning with the help of a media booklet, 99.98% of students who understood in the act of suffering from drought natural disasters were obtained. The conclusion in this study is a media learning book that is suitable for use in the teaching and learning process in the classroom. Media Learning Books that are effective in improving and improving student learning outcomes in facing natural challenges in Singkawang City.     Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesiapsiagaan siswa SMA dalam menghadapi bencana kekeringan di Kota Singkawang, dengan berbantu media pembelajaran booklet kesiapsiagaan. Media pembelajaran booklet merupakan alternatif bagi siswa di SMA Negeri 1 untuk penunjang pembelajaran geografi khusunya pada pendidikan kebencanaan, dengan mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar dan respon siswa terhadap penerapan media pembelajaran booklet materi mitigasi dan adaptasi bencana alam. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian research and development, langkah-langkah yang dilakukan meliputi 4 tahan yaitu (1) define (2) design (3) develop (4) dessemiate merupakan pendefinisian, perancangan, pengembangan, dan penyebaran. Tempat penelitian di SMA Negeri Kota Singkawang pada semester genap  tahun ajaran  2017-2018. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan purposive random Sampling.  Subjek  penelitian  ini  adalah  siswa  kelas XI SMA di Kota Singkawang, di SMA Negeri 1 Kota Singkawang. Analisis data secara kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen dan teknik persentase, pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan angket kesiapsiagaan dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah anava dan uji lanjut anava. Uji prasyarat yang digunakan yaitu uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa validasi oleh guru geografi SMA mencapai persentase sebesar 84% dan validasi ke media ahli sebesar 77%. Secara keseluruhan hasil menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran dan media booklet dapat digunakan tanpa revisi. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan perbandingan nilai probabilitas > 0,05 maka Ho diterima dan nilai probabilitas < 0,05 maka Ho ditolak dan jika nilai sig(2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,05 maka Ho ditolak yang berarti pemberian media pembelajaran Booklet dalam penelitian telah mempengaruhi kesiapsiagaan siswa SMAN Kota Singkawang. Hasil kesiapsiagaan siswa dalam menghadapi bencana menunjukkan terdapat siswa yang kurang siap dan hampir siap sebesar 33,33% yang kurang siap dalam menghadapi bencana alam kekeringan. Namun setelah diberikan pembelajaran dengan bantuan media booklet didapatkan 99,98% siswa yang telah paham dalam bertindak mengahdapi bencana alam kekeringan. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah media pembelajaran booklet layak digunakan dalam proses belajar mengajar di kelas.  Media pembelajaran Booklet  efektif dalam  mempengaruhi dan meningkatkan  hasil kesiapsiagaan siswa dalam menghadapi bencana alam di Kota Singkawang.

Abstract

This research studies analyzing the community and students in Singkawang City that have an impact on forest fires on peatlands, fire attacks because it increases the dry season that triggers forest fires so it is felt, this research was conducted to prevent dangerous material. Data was collected using a questionnaire method, through this questionnaire will be discussed the level of preparedness to deal with forest fires in the City of Singkawang. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. Quantitative samples using purposive random sampling techniques. The subject will be used as a sample of research in Singkawang City community and high school students in Singkawang City. The data to be obtained in this study will be published by descriptive by describing the results of the research obtained from the research questionnaire and then the data obtained will be classified by techniques that can compare each person so that from the groups that can be done this can be done to improve disaster fire preparedness.

Abstract

This research studies aim to mitigate the community against the impact of abrasion disasters in the Pasir Panjang area of ​​Singkawang City. This research is qualitative research, which is a research procedure that produces descriptive data in the form of words, images, and not numbers, from people or observable behaviour. Sourcing from this research uses purposive sampling, which is sampling based on research options on mitigating the impact of abrasion and experiencing communities living in the area of Pasir Panjang beach. Impact of abrasion in Pasir Panjang Beach, South Singkawang is caused by natural and human factors. Natural factors that cause abrasion are erosion of the beach by the flow of seawater that is a meander, wind waves (waves) and rising seawater. Whereas the human factor that contributes to abrasion is the taking of coastal materials such as sea sand, coral reefs, and mining. The impact of coastal abrasion eventually worsened the situation so that the existing bridge was broken because of the strong waves of Pasir Panjang Beach.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe  Make- A Match terhadap: (1) kompetensi sikap siswa, (2) kompetensi pengetahuan siswa pada pelajaran IPS di kelas V SD N 1  Singkawang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest control group design. Teknik simple random sampling dilakukan untuk menentukan kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Kelas eksperimen yakni V C diberi perlakuan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make-A Match. Kelas kontrol V A diberi perlakuan dengan menggunakan metode ceramah dan diskusi. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes, penilaian diri dan penilaian teman sejawat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make- A Match efektif terhadap: (1) kompetensi sikap siswa sebesar 0,016 <0,05, (2) kompetensi pengetahuan siswa pada kelas eksperimen diperoleh rata-rata N gain sebesar 61 % atau (0,61). Maka, model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make- A Match efektif terhadap hasil belajar siswa dilihat dari ranah kompetensi sikap dan pengetahuan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the preparedness of high school students in dealing with natural disasters in Singkawang City, producing media booklet preparedness. Media booklet is an alternative for students in SMA 1, SMA 2 and SMA 6 for supporting learning, knowing the differences in learning outcomes and student response to the application of instructional media booklets material natural disaster mitigation and adaptation.This study uses research methods research and development, the steps taken include 4 resilience namely (1) define (2) design (3) develop (4) dessemiate is the definition, design, development, and dissemination.The research site is planned at Singkawang Senior High School in the even semester of 2017-2018 school year. The research design used purposive random sampling.  The subjects of this study were students of class XI of SMA in Singkawang, SMAN as many as 21 students. SMAN 2 as many as 28 students and SMAN 6 as many as 25 students.Quantitative data analysis with experimental methods and percentage techniques, data collection using preparedness and documentation questionnaires. Data analysis techniques used are anava tests. The prerequisite test used is normality test and homogeneity test.The results that validation by high school geography teachers reached a percentage of 84% and validation to expert media was 77%. Overall the results show that the learning device and media booklet can be used without revision. Hypothesis test results show a comparison of the probability value> 0.05 then Ho is accepted and the probability value <0.05 then Ho is rejected and if the value of sig (2-tailed) is 0.000 <0.05 then Ho is rejected which means the provision of media Booklet in the research has been affect the preparedness of Singkawang Senior High School students. The results of students' preparedness in dealing with disasters show high and very high preparedness values. As well as the combined index value included in the Ready category. The conclusion in this study is media booklet suitable for use in the teaching and learning process in the classroom. Media Booklet is effective in influencing and improving students' preparedness outcomes in dealing with natural disasters in Singkawang.
