Abstract

The research aimed to develop expert system for helping lecturers to decide which courses to be taken by students in the next semester. The expert system contained specific pieces of knowledge to solve specific problems involved in the forms of system development and maintenance. This expert system was in the form of a website using the PHP programming language and MySQL database. The researcher used the Ripple Down Rules (RDR) method to identify the courses by putting forward the questions so that the system could decide which courses the students should take in next semester. The result shows that this web-based expert system can identify which courses that the students have to enroll after the students have answered questions generated by the system. The available data on the courses in the system adapt to the rules, so it is in line with the enrolled courses.

Abstract

Today banks have many branches in big cities of the world. System usually used  a central database in a particular city. Increased of database server performance due to number of users accessing this application should not degrade performance of application. To keep  database server performance optimally, application must distributed to the network. In distributed applications it takes a remote method call, that is why we are going to used Remote Method Invocation to develop this system. Based on results of analysis conducted, author can draw following conclusion of the application, which is once the client get a reference from the remote object then method of remote object is called like calling method from local object and methods that we have defined and implemented on remote object can we call or use both on desktop and web applications so we do not need to work twice. This approach makes more effective and efficient in application development, allows for better optimization, eliminates the need for processing of type information at run time and makes a light weight communication protocol possible. We have built a hybrid application, which supports both compile time and run time generation of marshallers in desktop and web application.

Abstract

Seiring perkembangan teknologi maka dikembangkan sistem informasi yang mampu mengelola penyelenggaraan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler, khususnya yang berkaitan dengan siswa sekolah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membuat sistem informasi manajemen ekstrakurikuler siswa untuk digunakan oleh koordinator ekstrakurikuler dalam mengelola data siswa peserta ekstrakurikuler di sekolah. Sistem informasi pengelolaan ekstrakurikuler siswa ini dikembangkan dalam bentuk web menggunakan Framework PHP Laravel. Sistem informasi pengelolaan ekstrakurikuler siswa ini dikembangkan dengan metode Rapid Application Development (RAD) dengan tujuan membuat sistem informasi web secepat mungkin. Sistem informasi pengelolaan ekstrakurikuler siswa berbasis web ini mampu mengelola (menambah, memperbarui, dan menghapus) data ekstrakurikuler yang ditawarkan dan melihat rekapitulasi data peserta dari masing-masing ekstrakurikuler. Sistem informasi pengelolaan ekstrakurikuler siswa ini terbukti mampu meningkatkan kinerja bagian akademik sekolah dalam mengelola kegiatan ekstrakurikuler di sekolah tersebut.

Abstract

Berkembangnya penggunaan Sistem Informasi, menjadi suatu kebutuhan, perkembangan ini juga memberikan dampak pada layanan suatu usaha. Begitu pula yang terjadi pada kedai Twins, yang merupakan salah satu kedai makan yang digemari oleh mahasiswa Unika, meskipun telah terbantu dengan hadirnya official account melalui Line dan Whatsapp, tapi proses pemesanan tersebut masih kacau dan pencatatannya dilakukan secara manual. Web-Twins ini dibuat untuk mempermudah dalam melakukan proses pemesanan secara online, dan memberikan informasi pada kedai Twins. Website ini dirancang menggunakan Laravel, bahasa PHP, dan menggunakan database MySQL. Hadirnya website ini diharapkan dapat membantu kedai Twins dalam mengelola data pesanan masuk, dan meningkatkan kualitas pengiriman pesanan.

Abstract

As we know the game is one of the interesting applications found in gadgets. Many people who play games use their gadgets. The fans of this game come from various age segments. Although the majority is dominated by children and adolescents. Molemash is one of the popular games since time immemorial. This Molemash game is played by touching certain characters that appear on the gadget's screen. The aim of developing this Molemash game is as a media to entertain children during the Covid-19 pandemic. Another goal is to introduce programming to today's parents. The development method used is Rapid Application Development (RAD). One application that supports the RAD method is MIT App Inventor 2. MIT App Inventor 2 is one of the tools that supports the RAD method because it implements block programming so that it allows efficiency in terms of program lines that must be written. One block at MIT App Inventor 2 represents dozens or even hundreds of program lines. Users only need to arrange the blocks according to the desired logic flow. Therefore MIT App Inventor 2 is suitable for rapid software development. The result of developing this Molemash game is that children get alternative entertainment during the Covid-19 pandemic. Whereas in terms of parents get new knowledge related to game development on Android.

Abstract

Today, the millennial generation is increasingly inseparable from gadgets. Most of their time is spent interacting using these gadgets. So that even during lectures, they can be sure that they will continue to interact using these gadgets. When this millennial generation is undergoing lectures in the classroom, usually attendance will be circulated using a paper attendance list and students must sign the paper as proof of class attendance. This often creates problems when there are students who leave their presence through classmates. The solution to this problem is to develop a mobile-based online presence system. The urgent need for an online presence system causes the system to be developed quickly. The suitable method for rapid system development is Rapid Application Development (RAD). This QRCode-based online attendance system has succeeded in overcoming the problem of entrusting presence through classmates.

Abstract

Batik gesek godhong is a new technique developed by a resident of RT 5 RW 6 Kelurahan Tegalsari, Kecamatan Candisari Semarang. This local creation is expected to become an icon and unique gift of Semarang. Even though women in RW 6 had been taught the skill of making batik gesek godhong for this purpose, marketing the product has still been the problem. Online marketing is a media that relies on the technology of the internet and is considered effective in reaching broader areas and minimizing costs. Thus, this community service was dedicated to increasing the women's ability to do online marketing. The method applied for this community activity was training on marketing online through e-marketplace and art of selling online and mentoring the application of the training. Even though the number of women who have online shops has increased, they still encounter problems attracting consumers’ interest and building consumer loyalty or implementing the art of selling online. Thus, similar community service activity for them is still needed in the future. Generally, the evaluation of the participants in the training was satisfactory and highly satisfactory. --- Batik gesek godhong merupakan suatu teknik yang dikembangkan seorang warga RT 5 RW 6 Kelurahan Tegalsari, Kecamatan Candisari Semarang. Karya lokal ini diharapkan bisa menjadi icon kota Semarang dan menjadi oleh-oleh khas Semarang. Walaupun ketrampilan membuat batik gesek godhong sudah ditularkan kepada ibu-ibu di wilayah RW 6 untuk maksud tersebut, namun pemasaran masih menjadi kendala. Pemasaran online merupakan satu media dengan teknologi internet yang dinilai efektf untuk menjangkau area pemasaran yang lebih luas dengan biaya lebih murah. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan pemasaran online bagi ibu-ibu. Metode yang diterapkan adalah pelatihan pemasaran online melalui e-marketplace dan seni berjualan online dan pendampingan dalam penerapan hasil pelatihan. Pelatihan yang diikuti perwakilan tiap RT telah berhasil membuat peserta memiliki toko online di suatu e-marketplace. Walaupun jumlah ibu yang memiliki toko online sudah bertambah, namun permasalahan untuk menarik minat dan loyalitas konsumen atau menerapkan seni berjualan online masih dirasa menjadi kendala. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat serupa masih dibutuhkan dikemudian hari. Namun demikian, secara umum penilaian peserta terhadap program pengabdian ini adalah memuaskan dan sangat memuaskan.

Abstract

Cioccolato brownie is a business engaged in the food business, namely brownies. In doing business, Cioccolato brownie performs the traditional process of presenting information to consumers to obtain product and development information. Where by contacting and communicating through the admin or business owner via short messages. Therefore, consumers will take a long time to get the desired business or product information. Meanwhile, business owners or admins also become inefficient and inefficient in running a business, because they must be effective in sending messages that may be carried out between one consumer and another. Therefore, to overcome the problems faced by Cioccolato brownie, a virtual assistant chatbot based on website, line and telegram was created. A virtual assistant chatbot named Ciovita. The method used in the development of a virtual assistant with the Waterfall Model is modeled with Usecase, activity diagram and sequence. The final result of the development of this virtual assistant chatbot is a website, line and telegram that can facilitate the provision of product information on Cioccolato brownie, so that it will help Cioccolato brownie in carrying out its business activities more effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

Letter of Assignment is something that can’t be separated in the management of University. A lecturer works on a specific task based on the assignment letter he receives from either the Department Leader or the University Leader. In the Department this matter is handled by the Department Administrator who handles the operations of the Department daily. If this is still handled manually, of course it will bother the Department Administrator. Especially when Department Administrator workload is high causing human error to occur. Web-based Letter of Assignment Information System is the solution to this problem. This system is developed to facilitate the operation of the Department. Besides documents that are already in digital form make it easy in terms of storage and distribution. So that both the Department Administrator and the Lecturer can access the assignment letter from wherever he is as long as there is still an internet connection. This system was developed using the Waterfall Model method which is one of the classic and most popular methods in software development. Research conducted based on qulitative analysis of primary and secondary data sources with methods of collecting data through observation, interviews and documentation. The implementation of this system is succeeded to facilitate operations in the Department so that the Department Administrator can work more effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

Mahasiswa adalah bagian tidak terpisahkan dari sebuah Perguruan Tinggi. Oleh sebab itu jumlah mahasiswa baru merupakan hal yang vital bagi sebuah Perguruan Tinggi untuk dapat terus beroperasi. Hal ini terutama sangat berpengaruh bagi Perguruan Tinggi Swasta. Banyak cara telah ditempuh oleh Perguruan Tinggi Swasta dalam mempromosikan diri. Promosi yang biasa dilakukan adalah melalui baliho, spanduk, radio dan mengikuti berbagai macam event yang diselenggarakan oleh berbagai SMA. Pendekatan terhadap siswa SMA sejak dini sangat penting untuk semakin mendekatkan brand sebuah Perguruan Tinggi Swasta. Promosi melalui berbagai macam media di atas tentunya sudah lazim dilakukan oleh sebagian besar Perguruan Tinggi Swasta. Untuk memenangkan persaingan ada beberapa Perguruan Tinggi Swasta mulai melirik promosi menggunakan digital marketing. Selain itu ada juga yang mengubah proses bisnisnya terutama terkait dengan menyederhanakan proses Pendaftaran Mahasiswa Baru dengan menggunakan web. Sehingga calon mahasiswa baru tidak harus datang langsung dari luar kota hanya untuk mendaftar ke sebuah Perguruan Tinggi Swasta.
