Abstract

Research on the study of the clay thickness as a parallel plate capacitor dielectric material has been carried out in the Laboratory of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences University of PGRI Palembang from May to July 2013. This study aimed to analyze the effect of dielectric material and the the clay thickness to the capacitance of parallel plate capacitor. This research used experimental methods, where clay samples were made of 3 x 5 cm size with a thickness variation of 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, and 20 mm. The results obtained showed that the use of clay as a dielectric material increased the capacitance of a parallel plate capacitor. The capacitance values in the thickness of 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14,16, 18, and 20 mm were respectively 4.2; 3.2; 3.0; 2.5; 2.2; 2.0; 1.9; 1.8; 1.6; and 1.4 pF for air dielectric material and 128, 118, 115, 105, 98, 92, 89, 74, 67, and 65 pF for clay dielectric material. There was a tendency of the greater thickness of the dielectric material, the smaller the capacitance of a capacitor. Keywords: dielectric material, capacitance, clay ABSTRAK Penelitian tentang kajian ketebalan tanah liat sebagai bahan dielektrik kapasitor plat sejajar telah dilakukan di Laboratorium Fisika Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Universitas PGRI Palembang pada bulan Mei sampai Juli 2013. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan bahan dielektrik tanah liat dan ketebalan bahan dielektrik terhadap kapasitansi yang dihasilkan pada kapasitor plat sejajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental, dimana sampel tanah liat dibuat dengan ukuran 3x5 cm dengan variasi ketebalan 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, dan 20 mm. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan tanah liat sebagai bahan dielektrik meningkatkan nilai kapasitansi suatu kapasitor plat sejajar. Nilai kapasitansi pada ketebalan 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14,16, 18, dan 20 mm adalah 4,2; 3,2; 3,0; 2,5; 2,2; 2,0; 1,9; 1,8; 1,6; dan 1,4 pF untuk bahan dielektrik udara dan 128, 118, 115, 105, 98, 92, 89, 74, 67, dan 65 pF untuk bahan dielektrik tanah liat. Ada kecenderungan semakin besar ketebalan bahan dielektrik, semakin kecil nilai kapasitansi suatu kapasitor. Kata kunci : Bahan dieletrik, kapasitansi, tanah liat

Abstract

A research on the sound intensity level of motor vehicles in Demang Lebar Daun Street, Palembang city has been done in various daytime measurement activities. This study aimed to compare the measurement results of sound intensity level at various times of measuring activity during the daytime. The research method used was purposive sampling. Measurement points were done along Jalan Demang Lebar Daun Palembang City, with distance between measurement points was 100 meter and was done at distance of 5 m from curbside with measurement time done at 07.00, 10.00, 15.00 and 20.00 WIB. The data obtained were analyzed by using One-factorial analysis of variance. Measurement results showed that the lowest intensity level was obtained on 20.00 WIB at 71.38dB and the highest was on 07.00 WIB with 73.95dB. Analysis of variance showed that the level of vehicle sound intensity at the time measurement on 20.00 WIB showed a significant difference compared to the measuring activity time at 07.00, 10.00 and 15.00 WIB. From BNT test with 99% confidence level showed that between the measurement activity Time on 07.00 and 10.00 WIB there was a very significant difference with the level of significance was smaller than a = 1%. Keywords : Sound intensity level, sound activity, Demang Lebar Daun street ABSTRAK Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang taraf intensitas bunyi kendaraan bermotor di Jalan Demang Lebar Daun Kota Palembang pada berbagai aktivitas pengukuran siang hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan hasil pengukuran taraf intensitas bunyi pada berbagai waktu aktivitas pengukuran pada siang hari. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah purpossive sampling. Dengan titik pengukuran dilakukan sepanjang Jalan Demang Lebar Daun Kota Palembang, dengan jarak antar titik pengukuran 100 meter dan pengukuran dilakukan pada jarak 5 meter dari tepi jalan dengan waktu pengukuran dilakukan pada pukul 07.00, 10.00, 15.00 dan 20.00 WIB. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis sidik ragam satu faktorial. Dari hasil pengukuran menunjukkan bahwa taraf intensitas terendah diperoleh pada pukul 20.00 WIB sebesar 71,38dB dan tertinggi pada pukul 07.00 WIB sebesar 73,95dB. Dari analisis sidik ragam menunjukkan bahwa taraf intensitas bunyi kendaraan bermotor pada waktu aktivitas pengukuran pukul 20.00 WIB menunjukkan perbedaan yang nyata dibandingkan dengan waktu aktivitas pengukuran pada pukul 07.00, 10.00 dan 15.00 WIB. Dari uji BNT dengan tingkat kepercayaan 99% menunjukkan bahwa antara waktu aktivitas pengukuran pada pukul 07.00 dan 10.00 WIB terdapat perbedaan yang sangat nyata dengan taraf signifikansi lebih kecil dari a=1%. Kata Kunci: Taraf intensitas bunyi, aktivitas pengukuran, jalan Demang Lebar Daun

Abstract

Penelitian tentang penentuan cacat pada daerah lasan karbon steel dengan menggunakan metode ultrasonik telah dilakukan di Laboratorium Logam dan NDT PT. Pupuk Sriwidjaya Palembang pada bulan Februari sampai dengan Juli 2007. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan indikasi cacat pada daerah lasan yang dapat menyebabkan terganggunya operasi pabrik dengan menggunakan metode ultrasonic teknik gema. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental dimana sebelum dilakukan pengujian pada material uji dilakukan pengamplasan dan pemberian kuplan. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan adanya dua indikasi cacat yaitu retak memanjang pada kedalaman 8,5 mm dan bulatan kecil pada kedalaman 19,39 mm dari permukaan lasan.

Abstract

A research on Space Level Influence Analysis (Case Study: Jalan Demang Lebar Daun Kota Palembang) has been conducted. The purpose of this research was to understand various factors of location of road (flat straight road, flat road cornering, uphill road, downhill road, road containing traffic light and road turning road). The research method was purposive sampling. With the measurement point in accordance with the factors that exist along Jalan Demang Lebar Daun Kota Palembang and the measurement was done at a distance of 5 meters from the edge of the road and measuring the day (07.00, 10.00, 15.00 and 20.00 WIB). The data obtained were analyzed by using one factorial variety analysis (location factor). From the measurement results showed that the lowest disturbance of 70.27 dB on the flat road turns cornering location 10 and the highest sound of 75.67 dB on the road containing the traffic light of the location 7. From the results of existing fingerprints that affect noise. From the BNT test with a 99% confidence level indicating that the street noise level containing the traffic lights of the 7 locations was very noticeable with the noise level on flat straight roads, flat road cornering and down road with significance smaller than α = 1%.ABSTRAK Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang Analisis Faktor Lokasi Pengukuran terhadap Tingkat Kebisingan (Studi Kasus: Jalan Demang Lebar Daun Kota Palembang). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis tingkat kebisingan yang ditimbulkan pada berbagai faktor lokasi jalan (jalan datar lurus, jalan datar agak menikung, jalan menanjak, jalan menurun, jalan yang terdapat traffic light dan jalan terdapat putar arah). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah purpossive sampling. Dengan titik pengukuran dipilih sesuai dengan faktor lokasi yang ada di sepanjang Jalan Demang Lebar Daun Kota Palembang dan pengukuran dilakukan pada jarak 5 meter dari pinggir jalan dan dilakukan aktivitas pengukuran siang hari (pukul 07.00, 10.00, 15.00 dan 20.00 WIB). Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis sidik ragam satu faktorial (faktor lokasi). Dari dasil pengukuran menunjukkan bahwa kebisingan terendah sebesar 70,27 dB di jalan datar agak menikung lokasi 10 dan kebisingan tertinggi sebesar 75,67 dB di jalan yang terdapat traffic light  lokasi 7. Dari analisis sidik ragam menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan faktor lokasi pengukuran terhadap tingkat kebisingan. Dari uji BNT dengan tingkat kepercayaan 99% menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kebisingan pada jalan terdapat traffic light lokasi 7 berbeda sangat nyata dengan tingkat kebisingan pada jalan datar lurus, jalan datar menikung dan jalan menurun dengan taraf signifikansi lebih kecil dari a=1%.Kata kunci: Kebisingan, Faktor Lokasi, Demang Lebar Daun

Abstract

A research on the effectiveness of the fibrous carpet thickness as the noise absorbent material generated krom music speakers in the courtyard house of Mr. S. A. Muin, Lorong Pahlawan Rizka complex, Prof. Supomo Km 3.5 street,  Palembang in July 2011. This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of the thickness of the fibrous carpet as the noise absorbent material generated from music speakers at various distance measurement. This research used experimental method in the field (open space). Sound intensity level measurements were carried out at a distance of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 m krom the sound sources (music speaker) with the carpet thickness of 5, 7, and 12 mm and without the absorbent material. The results showed that the decrease of sound intensity level by a fibrous carpet with a thickness of 5 mm, 7 mm and 12 mm were respectively 1.9 dB; 7.2 dB; and 15.1 dB (at a distance of 1 m), 1.7 dB; 9.9 dB; and 18.3 dB (at 2 m distance), 2.1 dB; 12.9 dB; and 18.9 dB (at a distance of 3m), 2.5 dB; 16.0 dB; and 21.6 dB (at a distance of 4 m), 2.7 dB; 20.1 dB; and 23.9 dB (at a distance of 5 m), 2.2 dB; 22.3 dB; and 26.0 dB (at a distance of 6 m) and 2.2 dB; 25.1 dB; and 27.7 dB (at a distance of 7 m). There was a tendency of the greater thickness of fibrous carpet material as a noise absorber, the more decreament of the sound intensity level after passing through the absorbent material.Key words: Fibrous carpet thickness, noise, sound intensity level ABSTRAKTelah dilakukan penelitian tentang efektifitas ketebalan karpet berserat sebagai bahan penyerap kebisingan suara yang dihasilkan speaker musik di halaman rumah Bapak S. A. Muin Komplek Perumahan Pahlawan Lorong Rizka Jalan Prof. Soepomo Km 3,5 Palembang pada bulan Juli 2011. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektifitas ketebalan karpet berserat sebagai bahan penyerap kebisingan suara yang dihasilkan speaker musik pada berbagai jarak pengukuran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental, dengan pengukuran di lapangan (ruang terbuka). Pengukuran taraf intensitas suara dilakukan pada jarak 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 dan 7m dari sumber suara (speaker musik) dengan penyerap bahan karpet berserat dengan ketebalan 5, 7, dan 12 mm dan tanpa bahan penyerap. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penurunan taraf intensitas suara oleh karpet berserat dengan ketebalan 5mm, 7mm dan 12mm adalah masing-masing sebesar 1,9dB; 7,2dB; dan 15,1dB (pada jarak 1m), 1,7dB; 9,9dB; dan 18,3dB (pada jarak 2m), 2,1dB; 12,9dB; dan 18,9dB (pada jarak 3m), 2,5dB; 16,0dB; dan 21,6dB (pada jarak 4m), 2,7dB; 20,1dB; dan 23,9dB (pada jarak 5m), 2,2dB; 22,3dB; dan 26,0dB (pada jarak 6m) dan 2,2dB; 25,1dB; dan 27,7dB (pada jarak 7m). Ada kecenderungan semakin besar ketebalan bahan karpet berserat sebagai penyerap kebisingan suara terhadap penurunan taraf intensitas suara setelah melewati bahan penyerap.Kata kunci : Ketebalan karpet berserat, kebisingan suara, taraf intensitas suara

Abstract

Research has been conducted on the effect of the minute soccer matches to the noise level at the Jakabaring Sriwijaya Stadium in Palembang, during the FC Sriwijaya match against PS Tira. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of minutes of soccer matches on the noise level. The research method used was purposive sampling with direct measurements at the Jakabaring Sriwijaya Stadium in Palembang, during the SFC match against PS Tira. Noise level measurements were carried out in the West stands, East stands, North stands and South stand, on 15 minutes before the match, 10 minutes, 25 minutes, 40 minutes, breaks, 55 minutes, 70 minutes, and 85th minute. The data obtained were analyzed using analysis of variance one factorial (minutes of match). From the measurement results obtained the lowest noise level of 73.95 dB at 15 minutes before the match and the highest noise level of 82.85 dB at 40 minutes. From the analysis of variance with (a=5%) shows the real effect of minutes of the match with the level of noise generated.Telah dilakukan penelitian  tentang pengaruh menit pertandingan Sepakbola dengan tingkat kebisingan di Stadion Gelora Sriwijaya Jakabaring Palembang, pada saat pertandingan Sriwijaya FC melawan PS Tira. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh menit pertandingan sepakbola dengan tingkat kebisingan yang ditimbulkan. Pengukuran tingkat kebisingan dilakukan pada tribun Barat, Tribun Timur, Tribun Utara dan Tribun Selatan, pada 15 menit sebelum pertandingan, menit ke-10, menit ke-25, menit ke-40, istirahat, menit ke-55, menit ke-70, dan menit ke-85. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis sidik ragam satu faktorial (menit pertandingan). Dari hasil pengukuran diperoleh tingkat kebisingan terendah sebesar 73,95 dB pada 15 menit sebelum pertandingan dan tingkat kebisingan tertinggi sebesar 82,85 dB pada menit-40. Abstract

Research on motor vehicle noise reduction has been carried out with natural barriers in the form of plant cluster lengths. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of plant cluster length as a natural barrier to reduce motor vehicle noise levels. This study uses a purposive sampling method, where in the study of noise level measurements carried out at selected points and determined in accordance with existing plant clusters at the study site. The tools used in this study are sound level meter, stopwatch, roll meter and tripod. Sound level meters are placed in front of plant clusters and behind plant clusters at a height of 120cm above ground level. The noise level in front of and behind the planting cluster is measured simultaneously for 30 days during the daytime measurement activity. The data obtained were analyzed using one factorial variance analysis in the form of plant cluster length. The results showed that the noise reduction by the cluster of cape, bungur, Tembesi, mahogany and palm clusters with a cluster length of 25m was 10.5 dB; 8,6dB; 9,1dB; 5,4dB and 5,2dB, the length of the 20m plant cluster is 9.5 dB; 7.5dB; 6,4dB; 4.0 dB and 4.4 dB, the plant cluster length of 17.5 m is 5.9 dB; 5,8dB; 5,1dB; 3,4dB and 3,8dB, the length of the 15m plant cluster is 4.2 dB; 3,5dB; 3,9dB; 2,9dB and 3,1dB, the length of the 10m plant cluster is 3,8dB; 3,3dB; 2,7dB; 2,3dB and 2,7dB, and the 7.5m plant cluster length is 3,08dB; 3,1dB; 1,6dB; 1.7dB and 1.8dB. From BNT test with 99% confidence level showed that the greater difference in plant cluster length has a very significant effect on noise level reduction.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of plant cluster length as a natural barrier to reduce motor vehicle noise levels. This study uses a purposive sampling method, where in the study of noise level measurements carried out at selected points and determined in accordance with existing plant clusters at the study site. The tools used in this study are sound level meter, stopwatch, roll meter and tripod. Sound level meters are placed in front of plant clusters and behind plant clusters at a height of 120cm above ground level. The noise level in front of and behind the planting cluster is measured simultaneously for 30 days during the daytime measurement activity. The data obtained were analyzed using one factorial variance analysis in the form of plant cluster length. The results showed that the noise reduction by the cluster of cape, bungur, Tembesi, mahogany and palm clusters with a cluster length of 25m was 10.5 dB; 8,6dB; 9,1dB; 5,4dB and 5,2dB, the length of the 20m plant cluster is 9.5 dB; 7.5dB; 6,4dB; 4.0 dB and 4.4 dB, the plant cluster length of 17.5 m is 5.9 dB; 5,8dB; 5,1dB; 3,4dB and 3,8dB, the length of the 15m plant cluster is 4.2 dB; 3,5dB; 3,9dB; 2,9dB and 3,1dB, the length of the 10m plant cluster is 3,8dB; 3,3dB; 2,7dB; 2,3dB and 2,7dB, and the 7.5m plant cluster length is 3,08dB; 3,1dB; 1,6dB; 1.7dB and 1.8dB. From BNT test with 99% confidence level showed that the greater difference in plant cluster length has a very significant effect on noise level reduction.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of noise caused by vehicles on campus A at PGRI Palembang University. Noise measurements were carried out in 3 different places that were passed by the vehicles of employees and students, namely the parking lot of Building A, Building B and Building C. The study was conducted in October 2020 for 5 working days of data collection. The measurement result data is analyzed by calculating the respective Leq as a measured noise level, then the Leq is compared with the quality standards recommended by the government for noise in educational institutions. The results showed that the noise in the campus A environment of PGRI Palembang University was in the range of Leq 57.3012 - 73.9548 dBA and did not meet the noise level quality standard for educational institutions, namely 55 dBA. This is because the location of the measurement is close to the traffic of vehicles.
