Abstract

The primary aim of the article is to discover Business Process Management (BPM) challenges when applied in a startup environment. This concept is an increasingly popular concept nowadays where BPM is one of mature disciplines that drives companies’ success. Whereas startup companies also becoming a trend as the Information Technology (IT) is developed and they have different organizational values compared to most companies in general. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) is performed to offer an impactful and insightful literature concerning BPM in startup environment. The papers used in this article are from the most honored journal publishers such as Elsevier, Emerald Insight, Springer, Taylor and Francis, Wiley,  and Sage Publications. A total of 3332 articles are picked based on the keyword. Then, 22 articles are picked according to the content of the article. Results show that there are 11 out of 30 BPM capability areas may be facing some challenges when applied in a startup environment. Therefore those 11 BPM capability areas need some improvement in order to be suitable for startup environment. Fortunately, the remaining are just good as is because they are compatible with startup environment.

Abstract

Desa Sukosari adalah sebuah desa yang terletak di sebelah selatan Kecamatan Kembangbahu, Kabupaten Lamongan, Provinsi Jawa Timur. Tepatnya adalah kurang lebih 25 kilometer dari pusat kota kabupaten Lamongan dan sekitar 2 kilometer dari Kec. Mantup. Potensi yang dimiliki Desa Sukosari yaitu di bidang pertanian, karena beberapa persen mayoritas penduduk disana berprofesi sebagai petani. Kepala desa sukosari berharap agar potensi desa dapat dikembangkan dan dikelola dengan baik. Masyarakat desa masih belum sadar terkait potensi yang bisa dimanfaatkan untuk dijadikan produk melalui hasil pertanian disana. sehingga banyak dari petani banyak yang menjual hasil tani ke tengkulak-tengkulak. Hasil pertanian yang mendominasi di desa Sukosari ini adalah tanaman padi dan tebu, tetapi ada juga masyarakat yang menanam kacang tanah, singkong, pare dan gambas. Usaha Mikro Kecil Dan Menengah atau UMKM memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam perekonomian Indonesia. Tetapi banyak masyarakat yang enggan memulai bisnis karena kurangnya pengetahuan dan inovasi dalammengelola sebuah produk, alat-alat yang kurang menunjang, kemampuan mendesain packaging yang menarik dan kurangnya pengetahuan pemasaran yang efektif.

Abstract

University of Muhammadiyah Gresik (UMG) is private university that has many faculties and study program, one of them is Industrial Engineering (TI). TI UMG has a web-based information system called Academic Information System (SIAKAD). SIAKAD is a system at the university level that only serves for filling card study plan (KRS) and lecturers marking grades only, not including on the management of submission of Job Training (PKL), Thesis, Seminar and Thesis Defence. Some activities in TI UMG are done by manual procedure such as: job training and thesis registration. Three out of seven respondents say that without the system, number of students that have registered and have not is unknown. Two of the seven respondents stated that the current system is still less efficient. Therefore, a system is needed to fix the existing problem. The purpose of this research is to design a Thesis dan Field Job Practice Management Information System using Ripple methodology with design testing using Requirement Traceability. The results of this study are class diagrams, sequence diagrams, database schema and interface design. Then the results of the design tests show each requirement has unique code that can be traced to features, use cases, communication and sequence diagrams.

Abstract

Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) merupakan salah satu pendidikan yang diadakan oleh Indonesia untuk mempersiapkan peserta didik agar dapat terjun langsung ke dalam industri. Hal tersebut sangat mendukung program pemerintahan terkait dengan revolusi industri 4.0 dimana adanya kolaborasi antara teknologi dengan seluruh bidang. Salah satu SMK yang turut serta untuk mendukung program pemerintahan terkait dengan revolusi industri adalah SMK Pawiyatn 3 Dhaha Kediri dimana SMK ini merupakan salah satu SMK di bawah naungan Yayasan Pawyatan yang memiliki keahlian utama pada bidang teknologi. Meskipun demikian, sebagai salah satu SMK yang mengedepankan kehalian pada bidang teknologi, SMK belum mengimplementasikan teknologi informasi dalam hal strategis sekolah. Untuk mendukung hal tersebut, Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik sebagai pelaksana melaksanakan sebuah kegiatan untuk merencanakan strategi penerapan platform digital pada SMK Pawyatan 3 Dhaha Kediri. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat membantu SMK Pawyatan 3 Dhaha Kediri untuk merencanakan rencana strategis terkait dengan pengembangan sekolah. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah SMK Pawyatan 3 Dhaha Kediri memiliki sebuah permasalahan untuk menarik minat calon peserta didik untuk mendaftarkan diri pada SMK Pawyatan 3 Dhaha Kediri. Selain itu SMK Pawyatan 3 Dhaha Kediri juga memiliki permasalahan terkait dengan tracer study lulusannya. Oleh karena itu, pembimbingan pemanfaatan platform digital nantinya diharapkan dapat meningkatkan animo calon peserta didik yang akan mendaftar pada SMK Pawyatan 3 Dhaha Kediri serta dapat melacak seluruh peserta didik lulusan SMK Pawyatan 3 Dhaha Kediri.

Abstract

The primary purpose of this paper is to investigate the level of IT decisions accuracy between female and male directors on board. The research uses qualitative studies by interviewing four directors (two females and two males) who are in charge of making IT investment decisions. Furthermore, the data analysis uses Leadership Theory, Decision Quality Theory and Analytic Hierarchical Process. Results show that gender plays a pivotal role in shaping board directors' conduct in an IT investment decision-making where male and female leaders have specific attributes that will contribute to a successful IT investment decision-making. Moreover, the results also can be used as a fundamental for enterprises to change their policy regarding gender equality in a workplace to create a more diverse working environment. This research becomes significant considering the number of females on IT and board remains limited for several years despite women emancipation being encouraged across many platforms.
