Abstract

The objective of this study was to evaluate the influence of honey addition on sperm dillution process to eggs hatchability of catfish (Clarias sp.) in Gorontalo Fish Seed Centre. This study has been using completely randomized design with 4 threatments and 3 replications each of them. Treatment A: 0 ml; B: 0.70 ml; C: 0.75 ml; and D: 80 ml each of them was in 100 ml; 99.30 ml; 99.25 ml and 99.20 ml solution of NaCl. The results of this study showed that the highest of larvae survival was on treatment D (76,67%), followed by treatment C (71,11%) and B (65,56%), while the lowest was treatment A (61,11% ). The parameter of water quality which is measured were DO was 3,8 ppm , the temperature was 24,5 0C and pH was 6,67 . So it can be concluded that honey supplementation in sperm dilution has affect to the eggs hatchability and the growth of catfish larvae (Clarias sp). Keywords :  Addition of Honey, Sperm Dilution, Hatching Egg, Catfish   (Clarias sp)

Abstract

Danau Limboto kini berada pada kondisi yang sangat memperihatinkan karena mengalami proses penyusutan dan pendangkalan akibat sedimentasi dan tempat pembuangan sampah  yang mengancam keberadaan ekosistem dimasa yang akan datang. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, maka dilakukanlah penelitian dengan judul tingkat pencemaran Perairan Danau Limboto Gorontalo. Pengukuran beberapa parameter kualitas air dilakukan secara insitu pada 8 (delapan) stasiun yang dilakukan secara sampling dan analisis laboratorium beberapa parameter kualitas air dilakukan pada Balai Riset dan Standardisasi Industri Manado. Tingkat pencemaran pada perairan Danau Limboto dihitung menggunakan indeks pencemaran Kirchoff 1991 dan indeks pencemaran logam berat menurut KepmenLH No. 115 Tahun 2003. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pencemaran stasiun 1, 2, 3, 4 dan 5 tergolong tercemar ringan dengan nilai indeks kimia kirchoff berkisar 59.13-70.64, sedangkan stasiun 6, 7 dan 8 tergolong tercemar sedang dengan nilai indeks kimia kirchoff berkisar 42.58-55.82. Tingkat pencemaran logamberat  Pb dan Cd pada perairan Danau Limboto masih berada dalam kondisi normal dengan nilai  indeks pencemaran logam  0≤PIj ≤1 yaitu memenuhi baku mutu (kondisi baik). Kata Kunci : Tingkat Pencemaran, Danau Limboto, Indeks Kirchoff

Abstract

Pemanfaatan sumberdaya alam pesisir yang optimal seharusnya dilakukan pada lokasi-lokasi yang sesuai. Perairan Kecamatan Monano sebagai salah satu wilayah yang memiliki sumberdaya pesisir dan laut yang cukup melimpah sangat potensial untuk pengembangan budidaya laut khususnya untuk budidaya ikan Kerapu (Epinephelus sp.) pada Keramba Jaring Apung (KJA). Informasi berupa data mengenai kelayakan lokasi yang menjadi salah satu faktor penentu berhasil tidaknya suatu usaha budidaya belum tersedia. Oleh karena itu perlu adanya kajian ilmiah yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesesuaian lahan budidaya Ikan Kerapu sistem Keramba Jaring Apung (KJA) di Kecamatan Monano. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada delapan stasiun yang ditentukan secara purposive sampling dari pengamatan secara langsung di lapangan dan pengamatan kualitatif melalui interpretasi image satellite google Kecamatan Monano Kabupaten Gorontalo Utara, sehingga diperoleh gambaran umum lokasi dan kondisi biofisik perairan. Pengukuran parameter lingkungan dan kualitas air dilakukan secara insitu dan analisis laboratorium. Pengambilan sampel air dilakukan sesuai petunjuk Effendi (2003). Analisis data menggunakan modifikasi matriks kesesuaian, indeks kesesuaian dan kelas kesesuaian kemudian dianalisis secara spasial dengan pendekatan Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG) menggunakan program Arc GIS 10.3.1. Berdasarkan peta kesesuaian lahan, diperoleh luas lahan yang sangat sesuai untuk budidaya ikan kerapu sistem keramba jaring apung adalah 417 ha. Sedangkan yang cukup sesuai adalah 2496 ha.

The results of processed julung - julung fish (Hemiramphus sp) immediately in Gorontalo are called sagela. Formaldehyde, better known as formaldehyde, is one of the additives that can be consumed but will be used by people as preservatives for food. The purpose of this study was to determine the formaldehyde content and pH of julung - julung fish as soon as possible in 6 traditional markets in Gorontalo City. This research uses purposive sampling method. Based on the results of research that has been done with qualitative tests using formaldehyde test kits, it is found that formaldehyde is not displayed on 18 samples of julung-julung fish taken from the daily and weekly markets sold in Gorontalo City. The pH value of julung - julung fish which is marketed in Gorontalo City is still included in the criteria agreed below. 7. Place julung - julung fish as soon as possible to be marketed in Gorontalo City which is suitable for consumption and is sold with good quality.

Abstract

Kegiatan budidaya ikan yang dipahami oleh orang awam merupakan kegiatan yang memerlukan tempat yang luas, air yang banyak dan beberapa pendukung budidaya lainnya.  Kemudahan dalam melakukan kegiatan budidaya tersebut di dapatkan di Danau Limboto yang mewakili tempat yang luas dan air yang banyak. Namun kondisi Danau Limboto saat ini yang mengalami degradasi serta pendangkalan sehingga tidak memenuhi syarat standar untuk budidaya ikan. Sehingga harus dilakukan perubahan terhadap sistem budidaya ikan. Saat ini ada beberapa inovasi yang telah dikenal di dalam budidaya perikanan, diantaranya budidaya ikan sistem resirkulasi yang dapat dilakukan di lahan sempit dan budidaya ikan dengan sistem kolam terpal bertingkat. Perlakuan kolam terpal bertingkat dan tersirkulasi dalam satu kali pemanenan yaitu sebesar Rp.2.074.895. Keuntungan yang didapatkan membuka pengetahuan masyarakat untuk menggunakan budidaya alternatif menggunakan kolam terpal bertingkat selain kolam konvensional. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dengan judul aplikasi kolam terpal bertingkat untuk budidaya ikan Nila di Desa Tunggulo telah berjalan dengan baik dan memberikan keuntungan kepada masyarakat.
