<![CDATA[Dwilogi novel Padang Bulan dan novel Cinta di Dalam Gelas menjadi acuan dalam memahami proses aktualisasi diri. Di dalamnya ditampilkan sosok individu biasa yang berjuang untuk mewujudkan mimpinya melalui perjuangan yang berat. Perjuangan tokoh utama dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan sebagai proses aktualisasi diri menarik untuk diteliti. Tujuan penelitian adalah mendeskripsikan karakter tokoh utama, mendeskripsikan pemenuhan kebutuhan sebagai proses aktualisasi diri tokoh utama, mendeskripsikan karakteristik pengaktualisasi diri yang terdapat dalam diri tokoh utama. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan psikologi sastra. Pengumpulan data dilakukan secara pembacaan semiotik tingkat pertama, heuristik. Analisis data dilakukan secara pembacaan hermeneutik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Enong sebagai tokoh utama memiliki karakter yang baik dan buruk. Karakter baik Enong, yakni pandai, pengertian, humoris, bertanggung jawab, kreatif, mandiri, rela berkorban, mempertahankan harga diri, pekerja keras, pantang menyerah, tabah, berpendirian teguh, tidak pernah berhenti belajar, bijak, sahabat yang baik, sedangkan karakter buruknya yakni pendendam. Pemenuhan kebutuhan fisiologis tokoh utama berupa kebutuhan makan, minum, istirahat, dan kebutuhan sandang. Pemenuhan kebutuhan rasa aman ditunjukannya dengan berusaha melindungi dirinya sendiri dari ancaman bahaya. Pemenuhan rasa cinta memiliki dan dimiliki ditunjukkan dengan mencintai teman semasa kecilnya dan mendapatkan kasih sayang dari kedua orang tua serta dari teman-temannya. Kebutuhan akan harga diri ditunjukkannya dengan bekerja dan menantang mantan suaminya melalui pertandingan catur. Kebutuhan aktualisasi diri diwujudkannya melalui prestasi Bahasa Inggris dan menjadi juara dalam pertandingan catur di kampungnya. Novel dwilogi Padang Bulan and novel Cinta di Dalam Gelas by Andrea Hirata can be used as reference in understanding the process of self actualization. The second novel featuring the figure of ordinary people who are struggling to realize the dream through hard struggle. Their main character struggles in fulfilling the needs of self-actualization as a process of making this interesting topic to be researched, moreover there are still limited studies on the process of self actualization.The purpose of this study was to describe the character of the main character, describes the fulfillment as the main character a process of self-actualization, self actualizers describe the characteristics contained within the main character. The approach used in this study is the approach of psychology literature. Data was collected in a semiotic reading of first level of heuristics. Data analysis technique conducted hermeneutic reading. The results showed that Enong as the main character has a good character and bad. Good character Enong among others intelligent, understanding, humorous, responsible, creative, independent, willing to sacrifice, dignity, hardworking, unyielding, steadfast, resolute, never stop learning, wise, a good friend. While the bad character Enong is vindictive. The main character physiological needs such as the need to eat, drink, rest, and clothing. Meeting the needs of safety has been demonstrated by trying to protect themselves from danger. Fulfillment of love has owned and shown by loving childhood friend and the affection of both parents as well as from friends. The need for self-esteem and challenging work showed by her ex-husband through a chess match. The need for self-actualization through the accomplishment of achievements in the field of English and be a champion in the game of chess in the village. Characteristics that support self-actualization figures Maryamah of observing reality efficiently, acceptance of self and others as they are, focus on the problem, function autonomously, appreciation is always fresh, awareness or interest in social, interpersonal relations, creativity, independence, and peak experience.]]>
