ABSTRAK          Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui daya hambat ekstrak daun nangka dalam menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri S. aureus, dan menentukan konsentrasi ekstrak terbaik terhadap penghambatan pertumbuhan serta daya bunuh bakteri S aureus. Metode  penelitian  yang  digunakan  adalah  metode eksperimen laboratorium dengan teknik sumur, teknik pengenceran dan teknik hitung koloni, dengan parameter amatan daerah zona hambat serta jumlah koloni bakteri. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan dengan 6 perlakuan (0%, 6,25%, 12,5%. 25%, 50%, dan 75%) dan 4 kali ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak daun nangka dapat menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Staphylococcus aureus, dengan daya hambat terbaik terdapat pada konsentrasi 50%. MIC (Minimum Inhibitory Concentration) dan MBC (Minimum Bactericidal Concentration) pada konsentrasi 75%. Kata Kunci: Antimikroba, Ekstrak, Daun Nangka, Staphylococcus aureus. ABSTRACTThis research aimed to be known the inhibition of jackfruit leaf extract to inhibiting the growing of bacteria S. aureus, and select the best concentration of extract as well as potency eradicate of them. The research using laboratory experiment method by pitting technique, deluting technique, and colony counting. The colony counting parameter was view area of inhibited zone and the number of colony. The research using randomized completely design by 6 treatment (0%, 6,25%. 12,5%, 25%, 50%, and 75%) and 4 replications. The result showed that the extract of jackfruit leaf could inhibit the growing of bacteria Staphylococcus aureus with the best potency was concentration 50% Minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and Minimum Bactericidal Concentration (MBC) 75%.Keywords: Antimicrobial, Jackfruit Leaf Extract, Staphylococcus aureus.
