This quasi experimental research aimed to find out the influence of cooperative learning model of CORE towards students mathematical communication skill. The population of this research was all students of grade 7th of SMP N 9 Bandar Lampung in academic year of 2015-2016 as much as 261 students that were distributed into seven classes. This research used pretest-posttest control group design. The samples of this research were students of VII-A and VII-B class that were chosen by purposive random sampling. Based on the result and discussion, it was concluded that the cooperative learning model of CORE influences the students mathematical communication skill.Penelitian eksperimental semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran kooperatif tipe CORE terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP N 9 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2015/2016 yang terdistribusi dalam tujuh kelas. Penelitian ini menggunakan pretest posttest control group design. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII-A dan VII-B sebanyak 261 siswa yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik purposive random sampling. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe CORE berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa.Kata kunci: CORE, komunikasi matematis, pembelajaran kooperatif
