Abstract

Kata Kunci : SMS (Short Message Service), Telepon, Arduino, GSM/GPRS Shield, Microswitch  ABSTRACT Remote Car Security Using Telephone and SMS (Short Message Service), is a car safety device using an alarm that has a long range, and uses a multilevel security system that can perform security functions on the car that the owner leaves in the parking lot. In designing this system uses microswitch, Arduino Uno R3 microcontroller, GSM / GPRS Shield, Mobile Phone, Relay, LED, and Buzzer. Where when the car owner activates the system by sending code via SMS (Short Message Service), the security system will be active. If there is an act of theft with someone opening the car door, then the system will activate an alarm that can be heard at close range (Buzzer), a remote alarm via Phone and SMS (Short Message Service) which contains a notification that there is theft to the owner, deactivate starter and ignition simultaneously, and car owners can also deactivate and reactivate the system via SMS (Short Message Service). Based on the results of the testing of the 5 providers that have been carried out, this system can respond to attempts to steal the car properly, and the response time to the buzzer sound has the fastest response time of 01.97 seconds and the longest response time of 05.03 seconds, while the fastest response time to Phone is 04.67 seconds and SMS (Short Message Service) 07.66 seconds and the longest response time to Phone 07.20 seconds and SMS (Short Message Service) 16.18 seconds. Thus, the car owner can find out as soon as possible if there is an attempt to steal the car, even if it is far from the car. Keywords: SMS (Short Message Service), Telephone, Arduino, GSM / GPRS Shield, Microswitch
