PELATIHAN PEMBUATAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN TULANG DAUN (LEAF SKELETON) DI MASA PANDEMI COVID-19

Abstract

Abstrak: Pembelajaran Biologi meliputi proses, produk, dan sikap. Praktikum menjadi sarana penerapan konsep Biologi. Namun, pemberlakuan pembelajaran secara daring membuat guru kesulitan untuk mendesain kegiatan praktikum sederhana yang dapat dilakukan di rumah selama masa pandemi covid-19. Melalui pelatihan ini, tim LPPM UHAMKA bertujuan mengajarkan pembuatan media pembelajaran tulang daun (leaf skeleton) kepada guru Biologi SMA Muhammadiyah dan MAN DKI Jakarta. Workshop secara daring dilakukan untuk memudahkan proses pelatihan, dengan mengundang narasumber yang kompeten. Kegiatan diawali dengan observasi kebutuhan guru Biologi SMA Muhammadiyah dan MAN DKI Jakarta sebagai mitra pengabdian. Selanjutnya guru dilatih membuat media pembelajaran tulang daun  dengan memanfaatkan daun kupu-kupu atau daun lain dan alat yang ada di rumah. Selama proses pelatihan, 37 guru yang menjadi peserta workshop, didampingi melalui grup WhatsApp. Evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan melalui penyebaran lembar kerja dan angket tanggapan guru terhadap efektivitas pelatihan. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan  kompetensi guru dalam pembuatan media pembelajaran tulang daun. Peserta memberikan tanggapan yang baik terhadap efektivitas pelatihan (76,50%). Abstract: Biology Learning covers processes, products, and attitudes. Practicum becomes a means of applying the concept of Biology. However, the implementation of online learning makes it difficult for teachers to design simple practicum activities that can be doing at home during the covid-19 pandemic. Through this training, the LPPM UHAMKA team aims to teach the making of leaf skeleton learning media to teachers of Biology SMA Muhammadiyah and MAN DKI Jakarta. Online practice conducting to facilitate the training process by inviting competent speakers. The activity began with an analysis of the needs of biology teachers of SMA Muhammadiyah and MAN DKI Jakarta as service partners. Teachers trained to create leaf bone learning media by utilizing butterfly leaves or leaves and another tool at home. During the training process, 37 teachers participated, accompanied by a WhatsApp group. Evaluation of activities conducted through the dissemination worksheets and questionnaires of teacher responses to the effectiveness training. The results showed improved competence of teachers in the manufacture of leaf bone learning media. Participants responded well to the efficacy of the practice (76.50%).
