<![CDATA[Abstract The purpose of this study was to determine the parking characteristics of the parking at the study site including parking accumulation, parking volume, parking duration, parking turnover rate, and parking index and to determine the current parking space capacity whether it can still accommodate vehicles. The method used in this research is the method of direct observation and data collection in the field in the form of traffic volume and parking volume data as well as the. performance of road sections. These observations were made on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Benefits of this study to determine the problem of the characteristics of vehicle parking at the Mayor's Office in Kendari. This approach is felt to be important for efforts to overcome the problem of vehicle parking and to know the vehicle parking capacity and further to provide parking space needs at the study location. The results of the analysis obtained parking characteristics for two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles have the highest parking volume of 75 vehicles and 50 vehicles, the duration of parking vehicles ranges from 1-2 to 2.5 hours for both, the highest accumulation of parking is 167 Vehicles / hour and 135 vehicles / hour , the average parking turnover rate is 90 cars / parking lots and 50 cars / parking lots and parking index is 146.11% and 109.33%. Judging from the characteristics of parking, so the current parking is not enough to accommodate the number of vehicles that park now. Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk Mengetahui karakteristik parkir kedaraan pada lokasi studi meliputi akumulasi parkir, volume parkir, durasi parkir, tingkat pergantian parkir, dan indeks parkir dan untuk mengetahui kapasitas ruang parkir pada saat ini apakah masih dapat menampung kendaraan.Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode pengamatan langsung dan pengambilan data di lapangan berupa data volume lalu lintas danvolume parkir serta kinerja ruas jalan. Pengamatan ini dilakukan pada hari senin, selasa dan rabu. Manfaat Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui masalah karakteristik parkir kendaraan di Kantor Walikota Kendari. Pendekatan ini dirasakan penting untuk usaha mengatasi masalah parkir kendaraan dan mengetahui kapasitas parkir kendaraan serta lebih lanjut untuk menyediakan kebutuhan ruang parkir di lokasi studi. Hasil analisis yang diperoleh karakteristik parkir untuk roda dua dan roda empat memiliki volume parkir tertinggi berturut-turut sebesar 75 kendaraan dan 50 kendaraan, Durasi kendaraan parkir berkisar1-2,5 jam untuk keduanya, akumulasi parkir tertinggi sebesar 167 Kendaraan/jam dan135 kendaraan/jam, tingkat pergantian parkir rata-rata sebesar 90 mobil/petak parkir dan 50 mobil/ petak parkir serta indeks parkir sebesar 146.11% dan 109.33%. Ditinjau dari karakteristik parkir, sehingga parkir eksisting saat ini tidak cukup menampung jumlah kendaraan yang parkir sekarang. ]]>
