Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini, untuk mengetahui pengaruh penguasaan keterampilan konseling terhadap profesionalitas guru pembimbing Sekolah Menengah Pertama. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Sampel dan populasi penelitian adalah guru BK Sekolah Menengah Pertama Kabupaten Purworejo berjumlah 88 orang guru BK. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket untuk variabel  penguasaan  keterampilan konseling  (X) dan profesionalitas guru BK (Y). Instrumen variabel X terdiri 24 item sedangkan instrumen variabel Y 29 item yang udah teruji validitasnya. Hasil uji reliabilitas variabel X sebesar 0,869 dan reliabilitas variabel Y sebesar 0.891. Hasil uji normalitas diperoleh nilai 1.109, untuk variabel X dan 0,783 untuk variabel Y, sehingga dapat diinterpretasi bahwa kedua variabel memiliki sebaran data normal.  Uji linieritas diperoleh nilai 0,464 lebih besar dari F tabel 1.68 dengan df 27-59 yang berarti linear. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada pengaruh positif yang sangat signifkan antara penguasaan keterampilan konseling terhadap profesionalitas guru BK SMP Kabupaten Purworejo dengan koefisien korelasi r sebesar 0,448. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan terdapat  pengaruh penguasaan keterampilan konseling terhadap profesionalitas guru BK SMP Kabupaten Purworejo sebesar 44.8%.   The influence of mastery of counselling skills on the professionalism of the counsellor teacher in junior high school   Abstract: This study aimed to determine the influence of mastery of counselling skills on the professionalism of the counsellor teacher in junior high school. This study is quantitative. The sample and population were 88 teachers in Purworejo Regency. Data collection techniques used questionnaires for the variable mastery of counselling skills (X) and counsellor teacher professionalism (Y). Instrument variable X consists of 24 items, and variable Y, 29 items have been tested for validity. The reliability test results for variable X amounted to 0.869, and Y was 0.891. The normality test results obtained a value of 1109 for variables X and 0.783 for the Y variable so that the two variables can be interpreted as having normal data distribution. The linearity test obtained a value of 0.464 greater than F table 1.68 with df 27-59, which means linear. The study results showed a very significant positive influence on the mastery of counselling skills on the professionalism of the counsellor teacher in junior high school, with a correlation coefficient r of 0.448 so that it can be concluded that there is an influence of mastery of counselling skills on the professionalism of the counsellor teachers by 44.8%.
