KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH SISWA SLOW LEARNER PADA SOAL BERBASIS TEORI BRUNER DITINJAU DARI DISPOSISI MATEMATIS

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa slow learner pada soal berbasis teori Bruner ditinjau dari disposisi matematis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa angket, tes, dan wawancara. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah lima siswa slow learner kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Ciawigebang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa disposisi matematis berbanding lurus dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada siswa slow learner. Subjek dengan disposisi matematis tinggi belum dapat melaksanakan rencana dan memeriksa proses dan hasil dengan baik, sedangkan subjek dengan disposisi matematis sedang dan disposisi matematis rendah belum dapat memahami masalah, merencanakan penyelesaian, melaksanakan rencana, dan memeriksa proses dan hasil dengan baik. Akan tetapi, subjek dengan disposisi matematis sedang lebih unggul dalam memahami masalah dibandingkan subjek dengan disposisi matematis rendah. Proses penyelesaian masalah pada siswa slow learner dikatakan belum tuntas karena belum dapat melalui tahapan memeriksa proses dan hasil. Setiap siswa slow learner memiliki perbedaan kemampuan dalam memperoleh informasi pada soal pemecahan masalah dengan tahapan teori Bruner. ABSTRACTThis study aims to describe the problem solving ability of slow learner students on questions based on Bruner's theory in terms of mathematical disposition. This study uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. Data collection instruments in the form of questionnaires, tests, and interviews. The subjects of this study were five slow learner students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 3 Ciawigebang. The results showed that the mathematical disposition is directly proportional to the problem solving ability of slow learner students. Subjects with high mathematical dispositions have not been able to carry out plans and check processes and results well, while subjects with moderate mathematical dispositions and low mathematical dispositions have not been able to understand problems, plan solutions, carry out plans, and check processes and results properly. However, subjects with moderate mathematical dispositions were superior in understanding the problem than subjects with low mathematical dispositions. The problem solving process for slow learner students is said to be incomplete because they have not been able to go through the stages of checking the process and results. Each slow learner student has different abilities in obtaining information on problem solving problems with the stages of Bruner's theory.
