Data was collectedby observation and achievement test. The data obtained were then analyzed usingqualitative and quantitative analysis techniques.The results showed that by using a model of cooperative learning type NHT canincrease the activity and student learning outcomes in science subjects. It can be seen fromthe increase in the student activity from cycle I to cycle II is from the category of"moderately active" to "inactive". While increasing student mastery of learning outcomesfrom the first cycle to the second cycle of the category "medium" to "high" or increase of51.61% in the first cycle to 77.42% in the second cycle.Keywords: learning result, models of cooperative learning
