KEMAMPUAN MAHASISWA PENDIDIKAN BIOLOGI DALAM MENYUSUN LEMBAR KERJA SISWA (LKS)

Abstract

Teachers should provide space for students to develop their ability in studying science. This role can be accomplished when teachers are expert in preparing devices such as worksheet. The purpose of this study was to assess descriptively Biology Education student's ability as prospective teacher in preparing worksheet and its suitability with lesson plan that was designed by students. The research used descriptive method. The samples were Biology Education students who followed the prospective teacher program 2013in junior and senior high school. Selection of the samples used purposive sampling. The data were collected using checklist and list of guidelines of scoring and field notes. Qualitative data were analyzed in descriptive percentages. The results of this study were most of the prospective teachers at junior high school were able to create their own worksheets and had high quality, and most of the prospective teachers at senior high school were able to create their own worksheets and almost half were able to make high-quality worksheets. Furthermore from its suitability, only some of the prospective teachers in high school were able to preparing worksheets that suitable with lesson plan.Keywords: students worksheet, biology education student, lesson planGuru selayaknya memberikan ruang kepada siswa mengembangkan kemampuannya dalam mengkaji sains. Peran ini dapat terlaksana bila guru handal dalam membuat perangkat diantaranya LKS. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji secara deskriptif kemampuan mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi sebagai calon guru dalam menyusun LKS serta kesesuaian LKS dengan rancangan pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP) yang dirancang oleh mahasiswa. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif. Sampel penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi yang mengikuti PPL tahun 2013 di SMP dan SMA. Pemilihan sampelnya berupa purposive sampling. Teknik Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dalam bentuk daftar ceklist panduan penskoran dan catatan lapangan. Data kualitatif dianalisis dalam bentuk deskriptif persentase. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagian besar mahasiswa PPL 2013 di SMP mampu membuat LKS sendiri dan berkualitas tinggi, dan sebagian besar mahasiswa PPL 2013 di SMA mampu membuat LKS sendiri dan hampir setengahnya mampu membuat LKS berkualitas tinggi. Selain itu dari segi kesesuaian hanya sebagian kecil mahasiswa PPL yang mampu membuat LKS sesuai dengan RPP.Kata kunci: LKS, mahasiswa pendidikan biologi, RPP
