MENINGKATKAN AKTIVITAS DAN PRESTASI BELAJAR MAHASISWA MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN STAD(STUDENT TEAM ACHIEVEMENT DIVISION)

Abstract

This research was aimed to increase student's learning activity and achievement through STAD cooperative learning. Method used in this research was Classroom Action Research (CAR). Activity data obtained by observation sheet, student's achievement obtained with essay test. Research procedures contains of problem identification (plan), learning implementation (do), and reflection  (see). Subject of this research was biology education university of lampung students at third semester which taken fundamentals development of curicculum lecture. Data of activity analyzed descriptively every meeting. Data of activity presented in score average and learning outcome in pretest, posttest, and N-gain score. The result of this study indicate there is an increase. The increasing of activity at first to second cycle is 0.29, second to third cycle was 0.07, and third to fourth cycle was 0.07. The average of pretest was 45.35, posttest was 71.05, and N-gain was 49. The conclusion of this study was the students learning activity and achievement can be improved through STAD cooperative learning models.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan prestasi belajar melalui model pembelajaran STAD. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindaan Kelas (PTK). Data aktivitas didapatkan dengan lembar pengamatan, prestasi belajar mahasiswa diperoleh dengan tes esai. Prosedur penelitian terdiri dari identifikasi (perencanaan), implementasi belajar (tindakan), dan refleksi (melihat). Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa pendidikan biologi Universitas Lampung pada semester tiga yang mengambil mata kuliah pengembangan kurikulum dasar. Data aktivitas dianalisis secara deskriptif setiap pertemuan. Hasil studi ini mengindikasikan adanya peningkatan. Peningkatan aktivitas pertama pada siklus kedua sebesar 0.29, siklus ketiga 0.07, dan sikulus keempat 0.07. rata-rata hasil pretest adalah 45.35, posttest 71.05, dan N-gain 49. Kesimpulannya adalah aktivitas belajara dan prestasi belajar dapat ditingkatkan melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif STAD.Kata kunci: aktivitas belajar, model pembelajaran STAD, prestasi belajar.
