<![CDATA[Induction of mutations with gamma rays is effective method in effort to assemble new superior varieties. Prentul Kediri cayenne pepper is local commodity that has the potential to be developed into a new superior variety. The purpose of this research is to find out the influence of gamma ray mutations on the level of genetic diversity and heritability in the M1 generation of Prentul Kediri cayenne pepper. The research was conducted in August 2021-February 2022, in Ketindan Village, Lawang District, Malang City, East Java. This research was conducted on M1 cayenne pepper Prentul Kediri resulting from the induction of gamma ray mutations in M0 at doses of 100 Gy, 200 Gy, 300 Gy. The pilot design uses a random group design (RAK) with three repeats. The analysis used is BNJ analysis of 5% level, standard deviation (SD), genetic diversity coefficient (KKG), phenotype diversity coefficient (KKF), and heritability (H2). The results showed a significant influence on the character of leaf count, flowering age, number of fruits per plant and weight of fruit per plant. The level of KKG, KKF, and heritability at each dose of mutation from low to high (varies).]]>
