<![CDATA[Abstrak Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa (UKM) adalah organisasi kemahasiswaan yang mempunyai tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan Persepsi mahasiswa PPKn terhadap keberadaan Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa (UKM) di Universitas Negeri Surabaya dan mempunyai tugas merencanakan, melaksanakan, dan mengembangkan kegiatan non-akademik kemahasiswaan yang bersifat penalaran, kegemaran, kesejahteraan, dan bakat khusus sesuai dengan tugas dan tanggung jawabnya. Menurut survey mahasiswa PPKn angkatan 2013-2015 yang mengikuti UKM di Unesa jumlahnya sangat sedikit sehingga perlu dilakukan penelitian untuk mencari gambaran mahasiswa PPKn yang mengikuti UKM di Unesa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan persepsi mahasiswa PPKn Unesa terhadap keberadaan UKM di Unesa. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian deskriptif. Lokasi penelitian ini di Prodi S1 PPKn Universitas Negeri Surabaya dengan jumlah responden 75 mahasiswa. Untuk memperoleh data yang ada di lapangan maka teknik pengumpulan data berupa kuesioner dengan menggunakan instrumen berupa angket dan dokumentasi, serta menggunakan teknik analisis data berupa teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dengan langkah-langkah editting data, coding, pemberian skor, dan input data. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa persepsi mahasiswa PPKn terhadap keberadaan UKM di Unesa yaitu mahasiswa tertarik untuk mengetahui dan ikut serta dalam kegiatan UKM. Banyak mahasiswa yang tidak butuh namun mereka ingin aktif di UKM, hanya sedikit mahasiswa yang mempunyai pengalaman sebelumnya dalam organisasi, mahasiswa sendiri mempunyai perasaan bosan dan malas terhadap suatu kegiatan. Untuk kemajuan UKM dan ketertarikan mahasiswa perlu adanya keahlian serta prestasi yang harus dimiliki setiap pelatih. Adanya faktor pengaruh teman mahasiswa lainnya yang menyebabkan sedikit mahasiswa mengikuti UKM serta masalah yang dihadapi mahasiswa dalam keluarga Kata Kunci: Persepsi, Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa Abstract The Student Activity Unit (UKM) is a student organization that aims to describe the perception of PPKn students on the existence of the Student Activity Unit (UKM) at Surabaya State University and has the task of planning, executing and developing non-academic activities of student which are reasoning, and special talents according to his duties and responsibilities. This study aims to describe the perception of student civic education Unesa students about the existence of Student activity unit in State university of Surabaya. This research uses quantitative research with descriptive research method. Location of this research in bachelor degree civic education program in State university of Surabaya with the number of respondents 75 students. To obtain the data available in the field, the data collection techniques are questionnaires using the instrument in the form of questionnaire and documentation, and using data analysis technique in the form of quantitative descriptive analysis technique with the steps of editting data, coding, scoring, and data input. The results of this study indicate that the perception of civic education students on the existence of Student activity unit in State university of Surabaya is the college students interested to know and participate in Student activity unit activities. Many students who do not need but they want to be active in Student activity unit, only a few students who have previous experience in the organization, students themselves have feelings of bored and lazy to an activity. For the advancement of Student activity unit and the interest of college students it is necessary to have the expertise and achievements every coach should have.
