<![CDATA[The policy of implementing halal product certification as mandated by the Law on Halal Product Assurance implemented by the government is expected to be able to provide legal certainty and benefits for the development of people's economy, especially after the Covid-19 pandemic. The implementation of the halal product certification policy actually has to run since the issuance of the Halal Product Guarantee Act in 2014, but it will be applied to its implementers only in 2019, so that it is effective in 2019 until now. This study aims to provide an overview of the evaluation of halal product certification policies that have been running in Indonesia. This research uses an approach approach and the use of library research, where the data obtained from the literature related to policy evaluation and halal certification process, through papers, articles, journals and news from the internet (website). The results of this study indicate that the evaluation of policies for implementing halal product certification in Indonesia is still not optimal. Effectiveness is still not well achieved, as well as distribution and coverage is still inadequate because the accredited Halal Inspection Agency (LPH) is still minimal. However, the government's response time and target accuracy in providing halal certificate subsidies are very good. The author has suggestions in increasing the distribution and reach of LPH, the government must cooperate with various elements of society such as Islamic organizations, community foundations, and other elements so that the goal of halal is quickly realized.]]>
