<![CDATA[Penelitian ini bertujuan Untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran problem based learning dalam meningkatkan kepedulian sosial siswa kelas VIII DI SMP Swasta Alwashliyah 20 Medan. Karena penelitian ini berbentuk deskriftif kuantitatif, maka penulis hanya menggambarkan. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pretest dan post tes. Semua anggota mempunyai kesempatan yang sama menjadi sampel penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dalam meningkatkan kepedulian sosial siswa. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan rata-rata kelas eksperimen yaitu 80,5 dengan standar deviasi 9,44 dan kelas kontrol 63,75 dengan standar deviasi 11,68. Hasil yang diperoleh melalui uji-t satu pihak untuk data posttest pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol untuk α=0,05 diperoleh nilai t hitung = 5,007 dan t tabel=2,024. Dalam hal ini Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Berdasarkan hasil yang sudah di dapatkan maka disimpulkan terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran problem based learning dalam meningkatkan kepedulian sosial siswa kelas VIII DI SMP Swasta Alwashliyah 20 Medan. Because this research is in the form of quantitative descriptive, the authors only describe. The research design used in this study is the pretest and posttest. Based on the results of the research and discussion, it is significant that there is an effect of applying the Problem Based learning model to increasing student learning outcomes in Civics subjects. This is evidenced by the average experimental class which is 80.5 with a standard deviation of 9.44 and the control class is 63.75 with a standard deviation of 11.68. The results obtained through a one-sided t-test for posttest data in the experimental class and control class for α = 0.05 obtained t count = 5.007 and t table = 2.024. In this case Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Based on the results that have been obtained, it means that there is an influence of the problem-based learning model in increasing the social awareness of class VIII students at Alwashliyah 20 Private Middle School, Medan.
