Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara dengan strategi modeling pembelajaran
Bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas IV b SDN 4 Alas dalam berbalas pantun. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) ini
dilakukan dalam 2 siklus dengan tahapan-tahapan yang dilaksanakan meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan
tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan lembar observasi
kegiatan guru, lembar observasi kegiatan siswa, tes kemampuan berbicara melalui praktik berbalas pantun dan
tes kemampuan siswa dalam menjawab soal uraian pada akhir KBM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada
siklus I ketuntasan klasikal dalam praktik berbalas pantun adalah 69,75%, sementara hasil ulangan siswa secara
klasikal mencapai ketuntasan 80%. Pada siklus II dalam praktik berbalas pantun ketuntasan secara klasikal
mencapai 75%, sementara hasil ulangan siswa secara klasikan mencapai ketuntasan 100%.

Abstract. The objective of the research is to increase the ability to speak using Bahasa Indonesia learning modeling
strategy at 4th Class students of SDN No 4 Alas in berbalas pantun activity. The research was an action
research which was done using two circles with four stages: plan, action, observation, and reflection. The data
were collected using observation lists for teacher and student, test on the speaking ability through berbalas pantun
activity, and the test on the studentsâ ability to answer essay questions at the end of teaching learning process.
The result of the research shows that on the 1st Cicle, classical achievement on berbalas pantun practice
was 69.75%, the achievement on answering essay question was 80%. On the 2nd Circle, classical achiement on
berbalas pantun was 75%, and classical studentsâ achievement on answering the essay questions was 100%.
