This study aims to determine differences in the CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) and CIRC (Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition) learning models on poetry writing skills in fourth grade students at SDN Gugus Mahesa Jenar. This study used a quantitative method (experimental) with the type of Quasi Experimental Nonequivalent Control Group Design. At the beginning before the treatment will be given a pretest and ends after giving the treatment will be given a posttest which will be assessed using the poetry writing skills assessment rubric. From the research results based on the T-test using the Independent Sample T-Test technique obtained from the t-count of 3.479 with Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.001 and df is 38. Probability value < 0.05 then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that there is a significant difference in poetry writing skills in the application of CTL and CIRC learning models for class IV SDN Gugus Mahesa Jenar.
