<![CDATA[Hypertension is a very dangerous non-communicable disease (NCD) (Silent Killer). The definition of hypertension itself is a condition in which there is an increase in systolic blood pressure reaching a number above equal to 140 mmHg and diastolic above equal to 90 mmHg. Based on data from the World Health Organization (WHO), around the world, around 972 million people or 26.4% of the world's inhabitants suffer from hypertension. In Indonesia alone, the prevalence of hypertension reaches 31.7% and around 60% of people with hypertension end in stroke. In the province of Aceh the incidence of hypertension is 21.5%. Purpose to provide information about (1) cases of hypertension at Cempaka Lima General Hospital Banda Aceh, (2) cases of hypertension based on age, (3) cases of hypertension based on the number of drugs consumed. This study used a cross-sectional design with a total sample of 40 people, sampling was taken by total sampling. Based on the results of the study, the prevalence of hypertension in one month was 40 people. The highest rate of hypertension in Cempaka Lima General Hospital inpatients was in the female sex with the age of ≥61 years as many as 10 people (25%), and the highest hypertension sufferers were in the male sex with the age of ≥61 as many as 8 people (20%). And the highest number of cases used a single drug as many as 35 cases (87.5%).Keywords : Prevalence, HypertensionABSTRACTHipertensi merupakan salah satu penyakit tidak menular (PTM) yang sangat berbahaya (Silent Killer). Definisi hipertensi sendiri ialah suatu kondisi dimana terjadi kenaikan tekanan darah sistolik mencapai angka diatas sama dengan 140 mmHg dan diastolik diatas sama dengan 90 mmHg. Berdasarkan data World Health Organization (WHO), di seluruh dunia, sekitar 972 juta orang atau 26,4% penghuni bumi mengidap hipertensi. Di Indonesia sendiri, prevalensi hipertensi mencapai 31,7% dan sekitar 60% penderita hipertensi berakhir pada stroke, Di provinsi Aceh angka kejadian hipertensi sebesar 21.5%. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memberi informasi tentang (1) kasus hipertensi di Rumah Sakit Umum Cempaka Lima Banda Aceh, (2) kasus hipertensi berdasarkan usia, (3) kasus hipertensi berdasarkan jumlah obat yang dikonsumsi. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan potong lintang dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 40 orang, pengambilan sampel diambil dengan cara total sampling. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan prevalensi hipertensi dalam satu bulan sebanyak 40 orang. Angka tertinggi hipertensi di rawat inap rumah Sakit Umum Cempaka Lima yaitu pada jenis kelamin perempuan dengan usia ≥61 tahun sebanyak 10 orang (25%), dan penderita hipertensi tertinggi pada jenis kelamin laki-laki dengan usia ≥61 sebanyak 8 orang (20%). Dan jumlah kasus tertinggi menggunakan obat tunggal sebanyak 35 kasus (87.5%).Kata Kunci : prevalensi, hipertensi]]>
