Strategi Komunikasi PT Jasa Raharja Cabang D.I. Yogyakarta dalam Program Millennial Road Safety

Abstract

Abstrak                Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis strategi komunikasi PT Jasa Raharja Cabang D.I. Yogyakarta dalam program Millennial Road Safety. Program ini dibuat oleh Jasa Raharja sebagai wujud kehadiran negara dalam mengedukasi masyarakat terkait keselamatan berkendara. Persentase jumlah korban kecelakaan di DIY sebesar  24% merupakan segmentasi pelajar. Oleh sebab itu, perlu adanya strategi komunikasi untuk memaksimalkan penyampaian pesan kepada para pelajar dalam program Millennial Road Safety. Penelitian yang berlokasi di PT Jasa Raharja Cabang D.I. Yogyakarta ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Informan dalam penelitian ini dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, sehingga terpilihlah dua informan utama yakni, Pegawai Bagian Humas dan Bagian PKBL PT Jasa Raharja Cabang D.I. Yogyakarta, serta tiga informan pendukung yang merupakan siswa dari SMAN 1 Sleman. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara mendalam, studi dokumentasi dan observasi nonpartisipatif. Teknik yang digunakan dalam menguji keabsahan data adalah menggunakan metode triangulasi sumber data. Data penelitian yang berhasil didapat selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis data model Miles dan Huberman meliputi pengumpulan, pengolahan, penyajian dan penarikan kesimpulan pada data. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa strategi komunikasi PT Jasa Raharja Cabang D.I. Yogyakarta dalam program Millennial Road Safety mencakup memilih dan menetapkan komunikator, menetapkan target sasaran, teknik menyusun pesan, memilih media komunikasi, produksi media, uji awal materi komunikasi, penyebarluasan media komunikasi, menganalisis efek komunikasi, memobilisasi kelompok berpengaruh, penetapan rencana anggaran, penyusunan jadwal kegiatan, peneta pan tim kerja dan proses evaluasi komunikasi. Untuk menunjang keberhasilan strategi komunikasi, PT Jasa Raharja Cabang DIY juga menerapkan fungsi public relations meliputi hubungan internal, publisitas, advertising, press agentry, public affairs, lobbying, manajemen isu, hubungan investor dan pengembangan.Kata kunci: Strategi Komunikasi, Public Relations, PT Jasa Raharja, Millennial Road SafetyAbstract       This study aims to analyze the communication strategy of PT Jasa Raharja Branch of the Special Region of Yogyakarta in the Millennial Road Safety program. Jasa Raharja created this program to educate the public on safety driving. The accident victim in the Special Region of Yogyakarta 24% include students. Accordingly, it is necessary to maximize the delivery of the messages to students by having a communication strategy in this program. This study used a qualitative approach at PT Jasa Raharja Branch of the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Informants in this study were selected using a purposive sampling te chnique, and there were two primary informants selected, public relations officer and PKBL division at PT Jasa Raharja Branch of Special Region of Yogyakarta. Besides, there were three students from SMAN 1 Sleman as supporting informants. This study also used in-depth interviews, documentation studies and non-participatory observation as data collection techniques. To test the validity, the researcher used the data source triangulation method. The research data obtained were then analyzed using the data analysis technique by Miles and Huberman, including data collection, processing, presentation and retrieval. The results show that the communication strategy of PT Jasa Raharja Branch of Special Region of  Yogyakarta in the Millennial Road Safety program included selecting and assigning communicators, setting targets, techniques for compiling messages, choosing communication media, media production, preliminary testing of communication materials, dissemination of communication media, analyzing communication effects, mobilizing influential groups, setting budget plans, preparing activity schedules, determining work teams and evaluating communication processes. Furthermore, to support the success of its communication strategy, PT Jasa Raharja Branch of Special Region of Yogyakarta also implement public relations functions such as internal relations, publicity, advertising, press agentry, public affairs, lobbying, issue management, investor relations and development.  Keywords: Communication Strategy, Public Relations, PT Jasa Raharja, Millennial Road Safetyy
