Abstract

Abstrak: Kepemilikan sertifikasi halal diperuntukkan untuk segala usaha jenis olahan makanan halal, termasuk yang diproduksi oleh UMKM. Meskipun masih kategori UMKM, tetap harus berupaya mempelajari dan mengikuti standar halal yang berlaku di Indonesia sebagai upaya peningkatan persaingan bisnis dan standarisasi produk. Berdasarkan survei yang sudah dijalankan, didapati permasalahan yang dihadapi yaitu pelaku usaha Desa Hambau yang bergerak dibidang kuliner ialah belum memiliki legalitas sertifikat halal. Keterbatasan ilmu mengenai cara mendapatkan sertifikat halal merupakan salah satu kendala yang dihadapi oleh pelaku UMKM. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini ialah mendorong persiapan sertifikasi halal UMKM di Desa Hambau sehingga produk yang dihasilkan mampu bersaing dengan produk dari berbagai daerah. Metode yang dilakukan pada kegiatan ini ialah survei, penyuluhan dan pendampingan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini pelaku UMKM dapat memahami bahan-bahan hingga proses produksi yang halal, label dan kemasan yang aman untuk produk pangan dengan hasil akhir 4 UMKM Desa Hambau binaan PT Bara Tabang telah mendapatkan sertifikasi Halal.Abstract: Ownership of halal certification is intended for all types of processed halal food businesses, including those produced by MSMEs. Even though it is still in the MSME category, it must still try to learn and follow the applicable halal standards in Indonesia as an effort to increase business competition and product standardization. Based on the survey that has been carried out, it was found that the problem faced was that Hambau Village business actors engaged in the culinary field did not yet have the legality of a halal certificate. Limited knowledge about how to obtain a halal certificate is one of the obstacles faced by MSME actors. The purpose of this community service activity is to encourage the preparation of MSME halal certification in Hambau Village so that the products produced are able to compete with products from various regions. The methods used in this activity are surveys, counseling and mentoring. The results of this activity MSME actors can understand the ingredients to halal production processes, labels and packaging that are safe for food products with the final result 4 MSME in Hambau Village assisted by PT Bara Tabang have received Halal certification.
