<![CDATA[The Independent Curriculum is one of the innovative efforts in education that aims to increase the meaning and relevance of the learning process for students. The Independent Curriculum has been implemented in several schools or educational institutions, but it still needs to be understood more deeply about how this approach is responded to and interpreted by stakeholders, especially teachers as direct implementers in the classroom. The implementation of the Independent Curriculum in the Padang State University Laboratory Development Elementary School is the main focus of this research. This article describes the teacher's interpretation of the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in the school environment which aims to understand how teachers respond to and integrate important aspects of this curriculum into everyday learning practices. Research that uses a descriptive quantitative approach with percentage techniques. The results of this study are that most of the indicators for implementing the Independent Curriculum are in the very high and high categories. This means that teachers in Laboratory Elementary Schools show a strong commitment to contribute positively to the implementation of the Independent Curriculum. The indicator of experience in participating in the Independent Curriculum training/workshop is still in the low category. So that follow-up is needed in the form of providing Free Curriculum training for teachers so that competence and understanding in implementing the Independent Curriculum are better.]]>
