the learning process the teacher has a very important role. In the skill of holding variations of learning science is a skill that must be possessed by a teacher in mastering learning variations. In conditions in the field there are still a number of skills that have not emerged or been fulfilled. The purpose of this research is to find out the teacher's skills in carrying out variations of science learning in grade 3 and want to know how students respond to variations in teacher learning in grade 1. This type of research is descriptive research. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis technique using qualitative descriptive analysis. The instrument used is in the form of guidelines for observing teacher skills, guidelines for observing student activities and interview guide with teachers. The results of this study are overall from grade 3 in mastering the skills of holding science learning variations still gets a good category. Obtaining the results of observations and observations during the observation is still with good criteria. In addition, the teacher's skills in carrying out learning variations greatly influence student responses in class, in student responses that show students are active, enthusiastic, concentrated, and interested in participating in science learning in class.
