Acculturation of local cultural aspects and religious values in the traditional Sumbawa wedding ceremony. The wedding ceremony is one of the important moments in people’s lives, where various traditions and beliefs merge into one in order to celebrate the marriage bond. The purpose of this study was to determine: (1) the process of acculturation of local culture and religion in the bridal tradition in the people of Tepas Village, Brang Rea District, West Sumbawa Regency; (2) the factors that influence the acculturation of local culture and religion in the bridal tradition. The method used is qualitative research with ethnographic research. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of the study show that the acculturation of local culture and religion in the bridal tradition can be seen in three stages. The three stages are the stages of bejajak, basaputes, reception/besai. The factors that influence the acculturation of local culture and religion in the bridal tradition are external factors, namely society and the environment, while internal factors are oneself and family.
