<![CDATA[The purpose of this study was to determine the teacher's role in increasing the learning motivation of fifth grade students in mathematics at SDN 29 Ampenan and to determine the teacher's obstacles in increasing student learning motivation. This research is a descriptive qualitative research where the data were taken through in-depth interviews with the informants, besides that data collection techniques were also used through observation of teaching and learning processes and documentation. The validity test of the data used is source triangulation and technical triangulation. Data analysis techniques were carried out by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are the teacher's role in increasing the learning motivation of fifth grade students in mathematics at SDN 29 Ampenan, namely with conducive classroom conditioning, using various learning methods, involving students in learning, creating a fun learning atmosphere, using learning media or tools visual aids, giving rewards and punishments to students and providing learning evaluations. The obstacles that occur in the teacher's role increase student learning motivation, namely differences in student abilities and limitations of learning media.]]>
