Abstract

The general purpose of this research is to obtain a picture of underachievement students in elementary school in Mataram city (Case Study in Grade VI SD Negeri 41 Mataram). This research uses qualitative type with case study approach. This research was conducted at SDN 41 Mataram, especially grade VI A and VI B. The subject of this research was grade 6 students at SD 41 Mataram. The object of this research is the achievement under the ability (underachievement) of the students that occurred in the case of grade 6 SDN Mataram. Data is collected using observation methods, interviews, and documentation. Researchers act as instruments of research as well as data collection. Data analyzed with Miles and Huberman models are data reduction, display data, and conclusion drawing / verification. Based on the data collection procedure carried out, the subject of this study obtained 4 underachiever students (2 students sitting in Via class and 2 people in Vib class namely Elan, Praja, Gede Loka, Nengah Loki. The results showed that the characteristics that appear in underachievement students are: (a) negative perception of self-ability; (b) a desire for low achievement; (c) external locus control (blaming something outside); (d) do not persevere during the teaching and learning process. (e) nosy and unable to sit quietly during the teaching and learning process; and (f) apathy towards the Subject. The causes of problems in underachievement children are (a) the learning system in schools; (b) negative teacher perception factor (labelling); and (c) family and home environment factor.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh PBL terhadap retensi dan kemampuan berpikir kritis IPA peserta didik kelas V di SD Gugus 4 Mataram. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu quasi eksperiment dengan desain nonequivalent control group design. Subjek penelitian yaitu peserta didik kelas V yang berjumlah 51, terdiri dari 22 peserta didik pada kelas eksperimen yang diberikan perlakuan dengan model PBL, dan 29 peserta didik pada kelas kontrol yang diberikan perlakukan dengan model konvensional. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu tes tulis, untuk mengukur retensi tes tulis berbentuk pilihan ganda dan untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir kritis tes tulis berbentuk uraian. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu uji t sampel independen berbantuan program analisis statistik SPSS 21.0 for Windows. Rata-rata nilai retensi kelas eksperimen lebih besar dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol sebesar 67.72, begitu juga dengan nilai kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik yaitu sebesar 51.63. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan nilai signifikansi pengaruh perlakuan terhadap retensi sebesar 0.000, sedangkan nilai signifikansi pengaruh perlakuan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik sebesar 0.004. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa; a) Model PBL berpengaruh terhadap retensi IPA peserta didik kelas V, b) model PBL berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis IPA peserta didik kelas V.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the difficulties of students in writing poetry texts. This research is a content analysis research with a qualitative approach through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The subject of this research is a poetry document written by students of class IVB at SDN 1 Dasan Baru. The result of this research is the finding of students' difficulties in writing poetry texts. These difficulties include the difficulty of determining diction in the management of inappropriate words, the difficulty of typography in unattractive typographical arrangements, the difficulty of determining figurative language in the strength of expression, the difficulty of determining rhyme in determining the placement of sounds and their repetition, the difficulty of determining the tone in a poetic atmosphere want to convey.

Abstract

Media kantong bilangan merupakan media yang digunakan untuk menyampaikan materi penjumlahan serta nilai suatu bilangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media kantong bilangan terhadap hasil belajar matematika materi penjumlahan pada siswa kelas III SDN 1 Cakranegara. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan bentuk quasi eksperimen, dengan desain nonequivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas III SDN 1 Cakranegara yaitu kelas III/A, III/B dan III/C. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling, dengan hasil kelas III/A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas III/C sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu berupa tes tulis pre-test dan post-test mengenai materi penjumlahan. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh media kantong bilangan terhadap hasil belajar matematika materi penjumlahan pada siswa kelas III SDN 1 Cakranegara. Hasil belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen lebih baik daripada kelas kontrol yang melaksanakan pembelajaran tanpa menggunakan media kantong bilangan. Nilai rata-rata hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas eksperimen setelah perlakuan sebesar 82,61 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 70,00. Berdasarkan analisis dengan uji N-Gain hasil kelas kontrol adalah sebesar 0,3038 yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang dan kelas eksperimen adalah sebesar 0,7257 yang termasuk dalam kategori tinggi, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh media kantong bilangan terhadap hasil belajar matematika materi penjumlahan pada siswa kelas III SDN 1 Cakranegara.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the ability to write short stories for fifth grade students of SDN 7 Mataram in the academic year 2020/2021 in terms of (1) completeness of formal aspects, (2) story elements such as themes, characters, setting and plot, (3) effective sentences, use of spelling, and coherence between paragraphs. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. The population in this study was the population in this study were all students of class VB at SDN 7 Mataram. The data sampling technique in this research is purposive sampling. While the data collection method used documentation analysis in the form of short stories by students. The instrument used in this research is the short story assessment rubric which has been validated by experts usingtechniques expert judgment. The data analysis used iscontent analysis because this study will analyze short stories (short stories) for fifth grade students at SDN 7 Mataram. The results of the students' short story analysis showed that in terms of the completeness of the formal aspects, the fifth grade students of SDN 7 Mataram obtained 38.75% results, and were included in the low category, in terms of story elements they were in the very good category because the average obtained was very good. which is 96.25%, in terms of effective sentences, it can be categorized as sufficient because the average value is 62.5%, in terms of spelling usage, which is 81.25%, it is in the good category, in terms of the aspect of inter-paragraph cohesiveness, it is categorized as very good because it is average. the average score is 91.25%. The results of the average value of 20 short stories by class V students of SDN 7 Mataram in terms of completeness of formal aspects, the existence of short stories elements, effective sentences, completeness of spelling, and coherence between paragraphs is 73.25%, it can be concluded that the ability to write short stories of class students V SDN 7 Mataram is in quite good category.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to looking for the effect of KWL Strategy (Know - Want To Know - Learned) towards students' reading comprehension in fourth grade of SDN 9 Ampenan. The population was all of the students in fourth grade as much 107 students, as the result this study was carried out in two classes i.e. IVA as the experiment class and IVB as the control class and the sample was choosen using purposive sampling, techniques particually Nonequivalent control group design,. Based on the title, this study consisted of independent and dependent variable where KWL Strategy as the independent variable while students' reading comprehension as the dependent variable. The data that already collected was analyzed using covariance analysis (anacova) and as the result, it showed that there is significant effect of KWL strategy (Know- Want to Know- Learned) towards the students' reading comprehension with a value of Fobserved > Ftable, which is 5.068 > 3.98.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the teacher's role in increasing the learning motivation of fifth grade students in mathematics at SDN 29 Ampenan and to determine the teacher's obstacles in increasing student learning motivation. This research is a descriptive qualitative research where the data were taken through in-depth interviews with the informants, besides that data collection techniques were also used through observation of teaching and learning processes and documentation. The validity test of the data used is source triangulation and technical triangulation. Data analysis techniques were carried out by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are the teacher's role in increasing the learning motivation of fifth grade students in mathematics at SDN 29 Ampenan, namely with conducive classroom conditioning, using various learning methods, involving students in learning, creating a fun learning atmosphere, using learning media or tools visual aids, giving rewards and punishments to students and providing learning evaluations. The obstacles that occur in the teacher's role increase student learning motivation, namely differences in student abilities and limitations of learning media.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the discovery learning learning model on students' understanding of mathematical concepts in fractional material worth class IV of Elementary School 47 Cakranegara. This type of research is a Pre-Experimental Design type of One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population in this study were all students of class IV at State Elementary School 47 Cakranegara as many as 47 students, while the sample in this study were students of class IV B as an experimental class of 23 students. The instruments used were observation sheets of learning implementation and concept understanding tests. Data analysis begins with the normality test and continues with the homogeneity test, then the hypothesis is tested with the t-test using the Paired Sample T-test. The results of data analysis show that the value of t_count>t_table is 6.310 > 1.717 and the value of Sig. (2-tailed) 0.00 < 0.05. This shows that students' understanding of mathematical concepts using the discovery learning learning model is better than before using the discovery learning learning model, meaning that the discovery learning learning model influences students' understanding of mathematical concepts.
