This research is motivated by the very low students' reading skills, because the teacher's learning process does not use media, so that the learning process looks monotonous. This occurs due to the teacher's lack of creativity in learning to read. there are students who cannot read and there are still those who read less fluently. The purpose of this study was to improve students' reading skills using comic media for grade 3 students at SDN 2 Bandar. This study used the PTK (Classroom Action Research) method which was carried out in two cycles. The success criterion is if there is an increase in students' reading through comic media with an average score of 75. The results of the research obtained after the implementation of the action were that students became more enthusiastic about the learning process and the habits that were inhibiting factors for speed reading could be reduced. Improvement in students' reading skills can be seen in each category. The categories are pronunciation and intonation in reading. In addition, the overall increase was clearly seen in the increase in the average score of students' reading skills. In the first cycle of students' response to the use of comic media 48% increased to 76% in the second cycle. Likewise, the average score of students' reading ability tests increased from cycle I 62.70 to 71.40 at the end of cycle II.
