Abstract

This study aims to determine the effort to increase the participation of youth through social activities of the Mosque of Al Ikhlas in the Karang Taliwang environment, Mataram City. This study uses a qualitative research approach with a descriptive research type. Data collection techniques used are interview techniques, observation and documentation. The results showed that there was an effort to increase the participation of youth through the social activities of the adolescents in the mosque of Al Ikhlas in the Karang Taliwang environment, Mataram City and have two stages of activities are pre-activity and perkusi activities (persik kubir and discussion). Each stage has several activities. In addition, there are driving factors and inhibitors to increase youth participation through the social activities of the teenagers of Al ikhlas mosque in the Karang Taliwang environment. The pre-preparation stage consists of a pamphlet and asks for donations from the public, while in perkusi activities (persik kubir and discussion) i.e. the use of donations, clean and clean activities. The driving factor consists of the cohesiveness of the committee, youth participation and community participation, while inhibitors are facilities, infrastructure and minimal fund budget
