ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada mata Pelajaran Ekonomi kelas XI IIS SMA Negeri2 Batauga tahun ajaran 2022/2023 melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL). Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI IIS.2 SMA Negeri 2 Batauga Tahun Pelajaran 2023/2024 yang berjumlah 17 siswa. Prosedur penelitian meliputi tahap ( a) Perencanaan, (b) Tindakan, (c ) observasi, ( d ) refleksi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, proses pembelajaran dengan penerapan model Problem Based Learning ( PBL ) dapat meningkatkan kemampuan Berpikir Kritis dan hasil belajar. Hal ini terbukti dengan adanya kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada tiap siklusnya mengalami peningkatan. Berdasarkan data hasil kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik dalam mengembangkan permasalahan pada siklus I masih kurang baik 38% ( 6 siswa dari 17 siswa ), siklus II diketahui nilai persentase mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I dimana kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam mengembangkan permasalahan cukup baik 88% ( 15 siswa dari 17 siswa ). Melalui perbandingan tersebut diketahui bahwa nilai kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam mengembangkan permasalahan dari siklus I ke siklus II mengalami peningkatan.Peserta dididk lebih antusias dalam mengikuti Pelajaran ekonomi.Berdasarkan hal tersebut menunjukan bahwa model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar peserta didik dalam Pelajaran ekonomi. Based on data from the results of students' critical thinking abilities in developing problems in cycle I which was still not good at 38% (6 students out of 17 students), in cycle II it was found that the percentage value had increased from cycle I where students' critical thinking abilities in developing problems were quite good at 88% ( 15 students out of 17 students). Through this comparison, it is known that the value of students' critical thinking skills in developing problems from cycle I to cycle II has increased. Students are more enthusiastic in taking economics lessons. Based on this, it shows that the problem-based learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills and learning outcomes. in economics lessons.
